So, even though we’re not quite at 50% for our response cards being returned, I’ve started on our seating chart. We are having 8-person rounds, which are causing me a big headache.
Due to larger families (with several children) as well as adult children that would prefer to sit at the same table as their parents, I have a big seating dilemma.
I currently have four tables that cannot be re-arranged with 7 people (with a possible two more, depending on RSVPs). Could I increase those four tables into 9-person tables without it being extremely noticable (I’m worried the tables will look unbalanced).
I’m just so frustrated over the thought of adding an additional two tables (plus table cloths, table number, and centerpiece) instead of adding one extra chair to a few tables.
Did any other brides run into this problem? How did you solve it?
I know our tables can hold 10 guests (tight, but it works), as we once saw the ballroom seated at capacity and in order to fit everyone they had to turn the tables into 10 person tables.
