Our reception is outside and we’ve decided to go without having table numbers on the table because of wind, how the centerpieces are working, and the reception is at my uncle’s house and he has two dogs who love to bark at anything that flaps around or sticks up higher than necessary.
In place of it we are using photo coasters to serve a triple purpose of favor, place card, and table numbers. Each person gets two. Guests will pick up their place card, which will have their name and table number in the photo slot of the coaster and go to their table and find their table number which will be the other coaster on their napkin with the number in the picture slot.
There won’t be large numbers to see as guests walk to the tent from my uncle’s kitchen. Is there a tasteful way to make a map of the tent to help guests find their table? I was thinking of setting up a map behind where guests will get their first coaster to help them out but I can’t find anything that doesn’t look like a bride making her seating chart at home.
