OK, I’m getting married in 2 weeks and ironing out final ceremony details. We have 2 best men, 3 groomsmen, and no traditional “ushers”. My mom said that at every wedding she has ever gone to there have been “ushers” to escort her to her seat. Should we just have the groomsmen do this? Or my other thought was to ask FI’s cousins (2 guys & a 15 year old girl) to be in charge of handing out programs and seating people… What do you think?

Every wedding I have attended, the groomsmen were also ushers. But that certainly isn’t required. If you want to give the cousins that job, then go for it.

I agree — your cousins could fill this role! We’re having female “usherettes” — basically, friends who agreed to join the wedding parrty late, so they’re not QUITE bridesmaids…but still really happy to be involved and lend a hand!
