Or do you just let people sit wherever they want? My bro is walking me down the aisle, how will he know where to go afterwards? Our wedding is on a beach, might be breezy, so I’m not sure “name cards” will work…

@mrsbruff2b: You can somehow demarcate the first 2 rows for “family”. Then either let the family know through word of mouth or through the wedding coordinator who belongs in those rows.
We designated the “reserved” rows with chair ties and the groomsmen were around before the ceremony started to help seat people. You could also have ushers help with seating and just let them know how many seats up front need to be left empty.

We reserved the first two rows on either side for our immediate families and let everyone else sit wherever they wanted. If they were supposed to sit in the first two rows, they knew ahead of time.
