    Hey Seattle Brides!

Who is doing your makeup and how much will it cost for you and your wedding party?

I have not met her yet, but will be doing a trial in May. Jenny Bowker http://www.jennybowkermakeup.com/

I have seven people and she is charging $750 plus travel. I tried less expensive artists in the area and had disastrous results. I am really hoping to connect with Jenny!

    Good luck!

I have a consultation on Thursday with Katie Cordery, a woman who is not affiliated with a salon. She was highly recommended by my DOC. She charges $100 for bridal hair including the trial, $20 for bridal makeup, and $35 for bridesmaid hair. Yeah, I can't believe those prices either! She has sent me several photos of her work and they look pro-quality, so I'm looking forward to meeting her to discuss our options. Her contact info is manitou79@hotmail.com.

    Thanks girls!

@Jackie-O: You did send it to me, thank you! Your wedding is almost two months after mine and you have so much done!

@littlestbirds: PLease let me know how your consultation goes. That almost seems too good to be true!

@Rosepinkslipper: Any suggestions on who I should stay away from?

I booked with Erin Skipley - www.bellatrixstudio.com.  She's not cheap, but her work is beautiful.

I'm using Shannon from I love Blush. she charges $75 for makeup with the option to add airbrush for an additional $25. I used her for my Ephotos and she was amazing. No charge for travel, on location.  She has a minimum $400 for weddings during summer months.  I can't say enough good things about her.  As a side note, since she is the owner of the company she doesn't accept tips- I had no idea about that.

@pretzel: I too am using Iloveblush.com. for my wedding in Oct. They are so fab!

The owner Shannon, and I are good friends and we use to work together back at Gene Juarez and all I can say is she does AMAZING work!! She's always been a gifted makeup artist and has worked at some of the greatest salons in Seattle. She books up quickly and she has a great team behind her (books up so far in advance that she was taken for my big day:( nonetheless I totally trust her team/reccomendations).

There is a 3 person min.from my understanding but it's totally worth it. I'm treating my mom to get her makeup done professionally and my sister MOH as a gift!. Shannon is also doing my sisters makeup for her wedding this July and my makeup (MOH) for her wedding. The airbrushing is a MUST HAVE for pics. Their pricing is totally reasonable compared to what is out there.

I too highly reccomend this company.

    I'm using www.seattlebridalmakeup.com

Me plus my whole wedding party for $300 which is not that bad. Had my trial run with her the other day and absolutely loved my makeup and how it wore throughout the day. And I got along with her really well, she listened to my opinions and what I wanted which was very important to me as well.

I definitely recommomend you check her out!

Be a little leary of MissK54 recommendation.  I received an e-mail from her today asking if I had my makeup artist and if not, check out her portfolio at the same website address.  I believe her recommendation above is for her own business.

I just used Salon Maison for my wedding make up (girls and mother's alike.) They did a fantastic job and really love their work.  I had Heidi and she was just phenomenal! She was able to do all ranges, from elegant for the mother in laws; Natural for my girls and Edgy Drama for me! It was all cohesive and even when we had last minute changes (FMIL) they didn't blink an eye and was so professional.  It was for 8 people for under $480 (that's with false eyelashes)

Jenny Bowker did my make-up for my e-pics, she was great. Super funny and friendly. She used the best products on my face--but it did look more natural than what I was expecting. I was hoping for more drama...

I had Katie Cordery (manitou79@gmail.com) for my wedding last weekend.  She did my hair and makeup as well as the hair for 4 of my bridesmaids and my mom.  I couldn't say enough good things about her.  She came to our hotel, was there early with all of the supplies, was friendly and easy to talk to and did a fabulous job with our hair and my makeup.  She was also very patient with me when I made numerous changes during my hair and makeup trial.  I have never had a better job done on my hair or my makeup and recieved so many complements.  And it lasted all night.  I believe she is booked up for the rest of the summer, but if you are getting married in fall 2011 or later I would definately recommend her.  She charged $100 for bridal hair; $25 for makeup and $35 for other wedding partySeattel Makeup Artists : wedding 259869 10100124495322340 16905258 47064029 2184966 N up-dos.
