I'm an older bride (38) getting hitched in an outdoor ceremony next August. I have a very specific dress in mind that reflects my taste and is age appropriate. It's knee length but elegant and romantic, and NOT strapless. Unfortunately, this dress exists only in my imagination. It most closely resembles this pictured dress except for the color (I want ivory), length of the dress, and depth of the V neck. I'd love to have my dream dress made. The two most important questions: who and how much? I've heard of women having custom dresses made for under 1K. Can it be done? Does anyone know of a skilled Seattle dressmaker to do the job? I've heard good things about Kiko on first Ave. Any advise will be appreciated.
Kiko is wonderful. You should definitely give him a try. He can design gowns for around $1500. It can be done, and I'm sure you can discuss your budget with him..he is very friendly.
