I've heard about an online place where they custom make it for you. Check projectwedding.com It's one of the top reviewed veil places (I forgot the name). The pricing is also very good. I can't get my dress till end of July so won't be getting a veil just yet (I probably should though)
I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if any of you know where to find Russian netting/veiling in Seattle? You know, to make your own bridcage veil.
Also, what are your favorite fabric stores?
Thanks in advance!
Veils look super easy to make, so I'm planning on making my own. The Pacific Fabrics in Northgate has a huge section on wedding stuff, and the ladies there look very helpful. I'd suggest checking that place out, thats what I'm going to do!
Yay! My friend & I found 9" veiling for less than $6/yard!!!
We checked out Nancy's Sewing Basket and Pacfic Fabrics in Northgate for Russian/French veiling. Pacific Fabrics had some 9" wide veiling for $12/yard. Nancy's has all sorts of colours & vintage ones ($70/yard!), as well as inexpensive ones. We just got a yard of one made in Taiwan for $6 *plus* Nancy's offers 10% off your purchase for all brides and bridal parties!!! For once mentioning 'wedding' doesn't jack up the price! Their veiling and gorgeous flowers are found in their Ribbon Room.

I was wondering about your veils...where did you get it, what's it look like, etc.
I think most people purchase the veil at the same shop where they purchased their dress. I didn't love any of the veils at the small shop where I purchased my dress (and I love working with the owner so I wanted to like one of the veils). So I'm just wondering what others have done (and maybe photos or descriptions of your veil). I think I want a simple single layer (or drop style) veil either elbow or fintertip length. I love Mrs. Ant's veil (and noticed several people asked about it, but I didn't see her response)...I'm thinking it came with her gorgeous dress.
