Thanks for sharing. I bet other Seattle Bees will really appreciate it!
Thats great to hear about stacey at metropolitan market, I was referred to her and am thinking of going there for my flowers. I was a little worried about using a grocery store for my flowers but, feel better now with your great review. thanks
here are a couple of pics of my bouquet and my bridesmaids' bouquet done by Stacey at Metropolitan Market (lower Queen Anne)
the bridesmaids had white lisianthus (sp?), roses, and lacey green hydrangea. I had lisianthus, roses, hydrangeas, and peonies
Wow thanks for sharing your pics of the flowers they are beautiful! That really helps me with ideas for my flowers too, cause my colors are green, grey, and white. I love your bouquets and I will for sure give stacey at the market a call now. Thanks!
BEAUTIFUL pics!
Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking of the Skansonia for our reception myself. Any other information/tidbits you can share about them?
Thanks!

my fiance works for REI (the flagship downtown). They host a holiday party for their staff every year, and a couple years ago it was on the skansonia. (not a wedding, but a big event all the same). The staff seemed great, and it was such a fun, different venue. One thing though-- even in mid-December it was really stuffy inside. We kept having to go outside for some fresh air. We had a great time all the same.

I got married last month and want to take a moment to rave about my vendors -- they were all fantastic!
Hair/Makeup: Habitude in Ballard
Oliver did an amazing job on my makeup and Chelsea was great for hair. Both listened to my comments/critiques after my trials and I ended up with exactly what I wanted on my wedding day.
Photography: Debra Gerth
Debra was amazing! I love all of our photos. She was super easy to work with and was everywhere. She also gave us a great suggestion on where to take our group shots.
Videographer: Mitch Mattraw / Cabfare Productions
Ok, so I haven't seen the footage yet, but so far Mitch has been great to work with. He's very friendly and laid back and really puts you at ease. So many guests have commented to me how great both Mitch and Debra were on the day of the wedding. They were everwhere without being intrusive or in your face.
Reception: Skansonia Ferry
We loved the Skansonia. Great venue -- so unique (an old 1920s ferry boat), great view of the city and water. All of our guests loved it! They do all of the catering and the food was great too.
Music: Craig Lawrence Band
The band was awesome! They played all of our favorite songs and really got the crowd going -- everyone was dancing and having a blast!
Flowers: Stacey at Metropolitan Market on lower Queen Anne (Mercer St)
Stacey did an amazing job on our flowers (bouquets, corsages, and bouts only). She listened to what I wanted, had great suggestions for flowers that would be in season (and therefore cheaper). The bouquets were absolutely gorgeous and she was great to work with.
All in all, I was thrilled with all of the vendors we chose and wanted to be sure to give them kudos publicly!!
