My best friend lives in Seattle and used O'hana Photography, a husband and wife team. I don't know exactly how much it cost, but I know they were on a small budget. Their pictures were gorgeous!!
I'm using Heather Mann (heathermannphotography.com)
Our wedding is January 3rd 2009 so we obviously don't have those pictures yet but we did have an engagement session that was included in the package we bought and they turned out amazing. Better than I ever thought!!
If you go to her website and click proofing and then use the pull down menu to get to Kelsey + Vincent engagement sessions you can view them.

Heather is super sweet and really made us comfortable. I feel like I've known her for years!! :) Good luck!!!
Kate McElwee is a lovely photographer, but I'm not sure of her rates. She did my boudoir shots. Here's her website and blog:
I second cherrypie and recommend Kate McElwee. Her rates are listed on her website (click Wedding / Information / Investment) and they are REALLY reasonable. I went with a different photographer (way more expensive) and if I were able to do things over, I would seriously consider using Kate even though I loved my photographer. Everyone on the local knot board loves working with her and all her pictures are beautiful.
Hi HappyBride,
You didn't say what your budget is, but there are some great photographers listed on the ISPWP website that are under or around $2K. Some of them are in Washington, and some of them are in neighboring states and may be willing to travel to Seattle. That may at least give you a starting point in your search. Good luck!

Hi HappyBride-
I would suggest Venture Out Photography. They have great service and great prices ranging from $800-$1600. A friend of mine from Seattle just got married and used them. She was more than thrilled with their service.
One Love Photo - Heather is AMAZING and her personality is flawless! Our wedding is in CT and I almost reconsidered our wedding date because she was already booked. Alas, we decided against changing the date but I still have a lot of love for Heather. I think her packages were pretty reasonable:
if I could give you multiple votes for One Love Photo, I would! Heather and her husband just shot my good friend's wedding last month, and they pictures are BEYOND amazing. Check her out!!
I just got my pictures back from Niki Desautels and they were BEAUTIFUL! She was fun to work with, and her rates are downright cheap for what you get.
She made a gorgeous online gallery for us the day after the ceremony and we got CDs in the mail just a few days after that. Stunning pictures, prompt turnaround, reasonable rates -- I can't say enough about her work! http://www.niquitaphoto.net/
I bet you already found your photographer, but if you haven't check out Gina, the owner and lead photographer of Silver Hand Photography! She is very artistic!
We're going with Clinton James www.clintonjamesphotography.com and he has beautiful work! He isn't in Seattle though, but nearby and travels. Definitely worth it IMO!
so i am looking to get deeper into photography and would love to do a few local weddings for my portfolio! it would be a free service- i would just ask that i have rights to the pictures and thus having permission to have them for my portfolio.
you in exchange would get a CD with edited high-res photos. if you were wanting prints, or an album made, you can do it yourself, or i would be happy to take care of it for you. (the latter, you would have to pay for).
right now, i just have been doing photography on my own, primarily with my daughter and whenever I go out with my camera. i am in the process of getting them up on my flickr site, and you're more than welcome to check it out.
i'm using jennygg (jennyggphotography.com) and she's amazing. her most expensive package is 2300
I am using photosbywinnie:
She's very flexible and did a custom package for us depending on our budget.
Hello Happybride09,
I am sure you have already booked your photographer but I know of a great photographer if you haven't. Here is his website: www.luskshot.com, his name is Tim.
I know his prices are very reasonable, under 2K and he has a very photo journalistic style (some posed photos but lots of natural/candid shots). We are using him this summer as our wedding photographer and I am sure he still available most weekends and days.
Best of luck, stargazerlily

I am looking for a good photographer that can work with me and my small budget. Have any suggestions?
