I think it looks perfect on you and the belt really draws the eyes inwards to your small waist. I love the ruffles! Definitely beautiful!
Wow! You look incredible! Second gess no more. You made the right choice!
I think it looks great! The belt definitely hits the right spot and draws eyes in to your small waist, plus I love the skirt!
Wow! It's stunning on you. Why would it not look good on your shape? You're perfectly proportioned!!! Seriously!
I think it looks great! Is the sash removable? If you move the sash to the empire waistline instead of the natural, you won't see such a contrast between waist/hips as much as you do when you cut yourself in half with a sash. Just a suggestion, but you do look lovely.
You are rockin that dress and its stunning! Don't regret that choice it was perfect.
@TheLionQueen: Agreed! When I saw the picture I thought "what pear-shape?"
I think you look amazing! Only women with feminine curves can pull that style off:)
It is all in your head, and in my personal opinion the trumpet style SHOULD be worn by girls with curves. I am wearing this cut, and my booty and hips are not tiny.
The belt really makes your waist look tiny, and it hugs in all the right places. You look beautiful!
Looks amazing!! I think it is super flattering and would actually look worse on a smaller hipped person. Rock those curves!
I think it looks perfect on you. I wouldn't even lose any more weight! The person who said it would look better in someone with smaller hips is insane.
Wish I had your body! That dress looks made for you. Lovely!
Personally, I love it, but go with confidence in whichever dress you choose, it will accentuate your beauty!
Whaaa? People are actually saying that it would look better on someone with smaller hips? In my opinion, that makes no sense. You are a woman and so you have hips. Dresses are made for women, so they are made to look good with hips! I think you look fantastic and totally hot.
Choo crazy!! :) I think that dress is made exactly for someone with hips to rock it out! You look fabulous!
Thanks for all the kind comments :) You bees are too sweet. I would also like to hear from those who voted 'no' - I can handle criticism, too!
Love the idea someone mentioned about playing with the belt a little bit-maybe making it more of an empire waist....
I agree about moving the sash a bit, but either way I really love it and you look beautiful !
I had the same concerns about hips looking wide in a mermaid shape...but after trying on a-lines and other styles that were roomier in the hip area, I realized that mermaid actually makes my hips look more proportional because you get the extra flare at the bottom to even things out. With an a-line, the whole bottom part just looks wide!
I think this dress looks great on you and gives you a nice figure!
That's Watters Cabo! I love that dress. I wish I had the curves for it. It looks amazing on you just as it is. Congrats on a wonderful choice.

I went dress shopping yesterday. I tried on about ten gowns and there were 3-4 that I was really in love with. They didn't let you take pictures until you bought a dress. This was tough for me, because while I loved how some dresses looked on me, I knew i could totally hate how I looked photographed in them.
AFTER buying the dress, you were allowed to take photos of yourself in it. So, I ended up buying one that I really do love. The cut, the style, the fabric, everything. However, after looking at the pictures of myself in it, I am really worried that I look too pear shaped / hippy for this style. :( It probably would be better for a narrow hipped girl. Now granted, I have kind of a weird corset thing underneath that they had me wear while I tried on and I DO plan to lose at least 20 pounds before the wedding (right now I am at a much heavier than normal weight for myself that I gained during the last year. I've already lost ten but have way more to go). So hopefully after losing that additional weight, I will look less "hippy".
But tell me honestly, do I look ok, does this dress flatter my shape or was I stupid to go for the trumpet style and the fitted through the hips style, being more of a pear shape as I am? Or does it look ok for me? FYI, here is how it looks on the model: link
and on me..
