I think it's beautiful! I don't think it's very untraditional, so I wouldn't worry about that. Also, I don't think it'll photograph weirdly at all! I think it's a gorgeous dress. You should keep it!
I think the dress is gorgeous, and will photograph beautifully. Can you post the pic of you actually in the dress?
That lady is batsh*t crazy, that dress is beautiful and traditional. I am sure that it will photograph wonderfully, don't worry, you did a great job picking it out.
I mean i do loooooove it, and looking at the photo i love how it looks on me... i think it just threw me back when the lady made that comment, because im going for a very traditional wedding (but i must admit it is ivory- so that in itself is probably untraditional..)

WTH is non-traditional about that? It's a classic A-line white-ish dress with some detailing. If anything, that would be *too* traditional for a lot of brides!
And for the record, it's gorgeous on you. Not everyone is going to love your dress, and some people will have the gumption to tell you in no uncertain terms that they don't like it. Don't listen. You look happy in that dress, and gorgeous, and that's all that matters.
@BrittMike12: I will be the first to say I don't like the dress itself, but merely because its not my cup of tea. However, it fits you amazingly and you look beyond elated wearing it so I think you picked a great dress for yourself. The trim in the veil matches really well too. That woman is insane for saying its untraditional, perhaps she just has different views. Your going to be a beautiful bride in this gown, in person and photos.
Keep the dress, it is beautiful and it is traditional and will photograph beautifully! I don't know what that woman is talking about.

I also think it's gorgeous. Personally, I think it is fairly traditional, but if she thinks it's untraditional, then yes, in a GOOD way.
I dont know if you already got married- but
I am professional photographer (and bride) - this dress is stunning, but i will say this - you MUST make sure your photographer uses a soft box attachment OR a defuser on the flash - or it will shimmer and shin in the photos in a way that it does not in real life and the details will not be seen.
also- Its Italian Countess Tradition - meaning its classic - forget the silly woman

so i got my dress off of dressilyme october 10th, and while i thought it was perfect the first time i tried it on, somehow i am now unsure how i should feel. i showed this lady a picture of me in my dress and she said it looked great, yet untraditional(and im now worried).
Because of the detailing i worry it will photograph weird, any thoughts bees?
I still love it, but im just wondering what other bees think...is untraditional in a bad way?
