So I got a second interview for a job that I’m really interested in, but I’m not really sure what to expect. I’ve only had a few jobs in my life and never had a second interview for any of them. Are they much different from first interviews?

Depends, is it with a different person?
Who was the first with? A manager or future coworker of HR?
It depends on the order of the people interviewing.
If the first interviewer was with a manager, and the second interview with another manager its likely going to be about the same as the first.
If the first was with HR, its more of a screening interview so the second will dig deeper. May ask more hypothetical questions relating to your responsibilities. Ask more detailed questions about the tasks/jobs you have done.

My first interview was a getting to know you as a person and what your experience has been on the job, as well as some hypothetical questions.
The second interview was with someone higher up and was a bit similar to the first interview, only with harder questions.
The third interview was with the person who decided who to hire – it was more of a formality to make sure they liked you.

@ThreeMeers: It’s with the same people. HR did a quick 5-10 minute preliminary phone interview, then I went in for about a 45 minute in person with the same HR person and the department manager. The next interview will be with the same 2 people.
