    Hello Hive!

My fiance and I are having a mostly western wedding, but were thinking about having a few parts of our ceremony translated into Mandarin who are traveling from overseas to attend.

We were thinking about doing the welcome in both English and Mandarin, our vows in both, and our prounouncement in both. All other parts would be in English. Our officiant is Latino and does not speak Mandarin whatsoever.

I have a few questions I'm hoping you can answer

    1. Should we just get a second officiant for those parts?

    2. Should the translator be an actual officiant or does it not matter?

    3. Would this be too much on our guests? [We plan on having a 20-25 minute ceremony]

    Thanks!
