    Hi Bees

I never thought I would be the person to say that I am having second thoughts about my dress but I can't stop thinking about 2 other dresses.

I bought the Allure Exclusive p851 a month ago. It has been ordered and I cannot cancel now. I then saw 2 Maggie Sottero dresses that I absolutely love. I love Jenna and Destiny. I never really knew anything about designers when I first looked and now I wish I had known more.

I don't know what to do. Should I keep the Allure or try and sell it! I need opinions. My wedding is in August next year at a golf club.

The first 2 pics are my Allure dress and the third pic is Jenna and the fourth is Destiny

    Thanks

    Meghan

Each one of these gowns is very lovely. Without seeing you in each one, I can't say which one I would like better on you though. They are each similar and different from each other. I think you should wait until your original gown comes in before deciding. The second two gowns seem to have a more defined sweetheart neckline and the flare is a little more poofed out. I suggest that when your other gown comes in to talk to a seamstress about pinning it with a more rifined sweetheart and also to try it on with a flared crinoline. You might surprise yourself and fall in love with it all over again.

I like your dress as well. The one big difference between them all is a little sparkle. Although I think your dress is stunning, if you wanted some sparkle, you can always add a sash. But again, I love your dress!!!

    Hi

    Thanks for the info guys!

I will try and get a more defined sweetheart neckline. Is the crinoline a skirt or is it something the seamstress puts in the dress. I also will be trying on my dress again this weekend and I will have a pic of me in it. I will post it when I get it!

@Meghan1218: You can get a separate crinoline and/or, you can have the seamstress add extra tulle under your skirt. It really depends on what you want. When your dress comes in, I suggest trying it on with a few different fullnesses of crinoline, then talk to the seamstress to see if she can create the look that you want by adding the extra tulle. I don't know which one would be less expensive to do, but you could find out costs when you do the try ons.

Of the three, I actually prefer your current dress.  Seriously, the Allure trumps the other two. Keep your dress, stop looking, and be confident in your original decision :)  You chose the dress for a reason, it's gorgeous, and you will look stunning in it on your wedding day!

I like your original dress.  It has a softer look than the other dresses, and has a VA-VA-VOOM quality to it!

Oh!!! I like yours, and I tried on the Destiny, it was one of my top runners. I liked that it had some SPARKLE in it! They are very similar to your dress, I think you will be fine going with the dress you have choosen. If it was something completely different then I would say go TRY it on. But with them all being fairly similar to what you ordered they aren't going to look to much difference, unless there is something that these dresses have that you wish yours did. If you were IN LOVE with your dress enough to order it, I say its truly yours! Trust me, every dress I have tried on has been missing SOMETHING!

Yours is stunning...it's so soft and romantic looking.  The two Maggie dresses are pretty, but they look a little more stiff and generic to me.

Thanks for all the opinions ladies!

I will keep my Allure dress. I'm going to add some rhinestones or gems in the middle of the flowers to add sparkle. Hopefully I'll get a pic soon of me in it.

Anyone have suggestions about what kind of veil to wear with that dress? I don't really like birdcage veils!

I really don't see too much difference between the 3. I love the first one though.

But what you're experiencing is very, very common--trust me, when you go back to the salon and put your dress on, you'll fall in love with it again. Promise!

Glad you stuck with your original pick!  For a veil, I'd go a simple cathedral length.  But because the dress doesn't have much in the way of sparkle going on, you can really have some fun with jewelry!

I perfer your original dress.  Here is a tip to help you decide: go with the dress made of better material.  I can't tell what material those other dresses are but I think yours is better.
Also, your dress looks like it has a little scoop neckline which I perfer over the sweetheart.  And if you want to add some "bling" add a belt under the bust line.

    @SoontobeMsL:

The belt is a great idea, and I too think this dress looks like the material is of a better quality.

Good that you keep allure, it looks better than the other 2. The 2nd maggie dress... if you are not too tall, the bottom will just make you look shorter. You can see that the model of that dress is really tall (or at least with very high shoes)

How about a chapel length veil or fingertip? I think both will do well.

Its true, without seeing you in each ... can't tell you which one looks better.  :)

But, if you keep looking at other dresses, you'll never be happy with yours.  There will always be one out there that will make you say "Man, did I make the right choice?"

So, I quit looking at dresses for ME, and started looking at dresses for brides.  :)  Your dress is beautiful honey, REALLY REALLY beautiful.  Be happy with it, its unique and gorgeous!

I've tried on lots of dresses from both designers and IMHO Allure gowns are way more flattering and beautiful in person.  In person, this one has a softness and romantic quality, while still being showstopping.  I think lots of us have doubts about the dress after commiting to one, but... the Allure dress is gorgeous... trust your first "love"!

The first dress is by far the best!  Honestly the other 2 look like downgraded versions of yours!  Sometimes you just need some assurance but I think your first instinct was the right one!  Enjoy!

If your personality is fun-loving and free-spirited then you picked the perfect dress! If you have a more formal personality then perhaps that's why you're having 2nd thoughts. You can add your own bling, like a fabulous swarovski crystal necklace.
