Hmm. . . I would wait to make any decisions until the dress comes in.  If it comes in February you have time before August.  I had similar doubts, went and tried on a ton more dresses and then went back to try on the sample of my dress.  I totally fell in love with it again.  I hope that happens for you, that is why I you need hang tight for you now.  I know its hard to do!

Also, maybe your mom can come with when it comes in.  that will be a big moment that you can include her in.  My mom has yet to see my dress and that is what we are doing.

Maybe see if another store has a sample so you can show your mom?

Awwww I’m really sorry that you are losing sleep over this. You are totally normal for having these feelings. It would be really hard to disappoint your mom and not have her there for the whole experience. I went through something very similar so I totally understand where you are coming from.

I think that in the end, you will love your dress, your mom will be happy, and your wedding will be amazing. I think that when it comes in in Feb., I would just bring your mom to all of your fittings, ask her questions about the veil, accessories, etc so she feels included. If you absolutely hate your dress when it comes in (which I don’t think you will), you would definitely have time to find another gown 🙂

Im sorry youre doubting your dress, but a lot of girls on here seem to have the same doubts. Is there a certain thing you dont like about the dress? I think its easy to doubt something when you have to wait months to see it again. Which dress is it, do you have a pic?

OMG I LOVE that dress! I think it’s beautiful. I’m sure you’ll look amazing. Are you gonna do a birdcage veil for a retro look?

If anything, you can always have another dress for the reception.

This dress is AMAZING, I saw a wedding show on TV the other night where the wedding planner picked this dress for the bride…..the show is about tacky brides that have a professional well known planner change their weddings etc “My Fair Wedding” on WE.

Believe me, if I had the body for that, I’d totally wear it. Beautiful dress and I hope you and your mom have a great time at the fitting!

That’s a fantastic dress!  I think it’s totally normal to doubt yourself, and it can be really insidious.  I am still a little disappointed in my wedding dress, but that’s so not what I remember when I look at the pictures.  If your dress arrives in February and you’re not feeling it, six months is plenty of time to find a new dress, but you’ll need to do it quickly.  (I bought my dress in mid-February for a July wedding, and picked it up from the last fitting a week before the wedding.  No rush order, but a little bit tighter than I’d have liked.)

your dress is gorgeous!! but 6 months is definitely enough time to get another, I got engaged in july, am getting married in january and my dress came in two weeks ago. if you try on another dress and love it more, dont feel guilty for a second changing your mind, it’s your day:)

That dress is gorgeous!! But, I agree with the others, if you want to change it go for it! It’s not too late!

That’s a Matthew Christopher dress, right?  I have been in love with that dress since I first saw it!  You should definitely get that dress!
