I think it looks really beautiful on you and am sure once it is altered to fit you then you will fall in love with it again!

haapii:  I’m no seamstress, but the dress is beautiful and I think you can rock it! If you have it taken in and shortened you should be okay. I think something flowy like that would look beautiful for a backyard wedding.

I’m 4’11”, so I totally understand the “my-dress-is-swallowing-me-alive” feeling. I love your dress and think that alterations will help immensely. It feels gimongo right now because the fabric length is pooling at your feet, but once you get it hemmed, it should feel a lot better. Then you can decide whether to remove a layer or two of tulle. I would also recommend keeping accessories to a minimum to avoid being overwhelmed by your outfit.

Once you have it altered for your height and it fits at the top you should be fine. If you still feel its too much you can remove some layers to tulle to tone it down. It shoudl look like it did when you are were on the pedastal once it’s all altered. beautiful dress btw!

I think you just need to hem it or go for huge heels.  It’ll look as beautiful as it did in the shop.  It is beautiful on you!

I don’t have much to add but for what it’s worth, my reaction was that it looks freaking gorgeous on you! I think you can make it work!

haapii:  I think (besides the fact that you said it needs to be altered to fit), it looks perfect! It doesn’t need to “salvaged”!

I think it looks great! The only thing I would make sure that they alter is the cup/boob area. You don’t just want it pulled tight to fit, or it will look disporportionate. The one you tried on isn’t just better fitted in your chest area, but it is porportionate to your structure, does that make sense?

Noooo it’s beautiful!! I think it will look amazing on you once it’s altered. It just needs to be hemmed so it doesn’t puddle on the bottom IMO.

It’s beautiful! All dresses look kind of goofy if they don’t  fit well, at least that’s what I’ve noticed when I try them on! Get it altered to fit you properly, I’ll bet you that you will love it 🙂 It is definitely a stunning gown!
