Count me in! I am also feeling more relaxed this time around and will be trying to avoid symptom spotting, since obviously my "symptoms" last month didn't mean anything!
Count me in too! I just took myself out of the first timers....at13dpo today I got a bfn, so onto the next. I'm kind of nervous about how it will work this time around. My husband and I are going to Florida at the end of the month to visit my parents. We should be BDing the few days before we fly out, but I think ill O while in FL. How am I gonna BD at my parents?! LOL
Count me in! I'm trying to stay calm, which really isn't my style.
@hamikay: we're pretty much cycle twins this month.
Best of luck to you all!
count me in! I did not O first cycle. I am now at CD 13 so I am hoping it comes up soon on the OPKs so I actually get a TWW.
Argh, I think we're down to very low odds this month. Poor husband has been unwell and sex is uncomfortable for him... and this weekend was our big chance. Can't help but be a bit frustrated that he didn't get to the doctor earlier in the week. Got one session in on Friday night, so lets hope that did the job, but it's probably a long shot.
@luli29: very quietly ;)
Well I got my two smiley faces on the OPK and we BDd both days, so now we wait! How is it going for all the other second timers?
@hamikay: haha
@MissMusic: I still got AF...should be done in a day or two, then onto BD'ing
I'm not feeling particularly hopeful over here. I'm about 4DPO, and I just have a feeling that it didn't work this month. Of course, there is a part of me that is remaining hopeful, but mostly I'm preparing myself for a BFN. I'm going to try to hold out to test until the 24th though.
Next month I'm definitely going to chart. For the past month I've bene using Ovulite, which is an ovulation predictor based on saliva. I know it sounds weird, but look it up. It's also supposed to help indicate an early pregnancy (I'm going to try to not test everyday with it) unitl the 24th. My period tracker phone app tells me that I O'd on the 11th, but I think it might have been the 10th (or even the 9th, which would put me at 5DPO). I think charting is the best way for me to confirm when I really O (which I'm pretty sure that I do, but would be nice to confirm via charting). *Le sigh*
Even though this is really only the second month of really trying, we NTNT for two months before that.
how is everyone going?
keeping in mind that I am the queen of symptom-spotting (since going off birth control 18 months ago, i've had some sort of false 'symptom' most months - haha. Including all the months we were using condoms!), AND the fact that we were only able to have sex twice around ovulation this month, i've noticed a new symptom that is quite hard to fake in the past two days - i'm suddenly very aware of smells. They don't make me feel sick, though... but walking up the street or through the supermarket it was like I could have closed my eyes and smelt my way around.
I'm also EXHAUSTED today... but I can explain that with a very busy week at work.
So much for taking it easy and keeping my hopes low this month... looks like it will be a busy symptom-spotting week for me. Period due 25th or 26th.
Looks like I'm out. Moving on and hoping third times a charm!
Good luck to everyone else!
@RubyCali: all the best for the 3rd time 'round, I'm sure I'll be joining you!
This is our first month of actual TTC, so I am in my first TWW! I really don't hold out much hope for this month. I am skeptical because I just don't know when I O'd or if I did. I have shorter and still irregular cycles since getting of BCP. I don't temp because I wake up often. I ordered OPK's but they didn't arrive until CD14 and I apparently missed my surge. My cycles have been 25, 15 and 24 days since getting off BCP. I hear about annovulatory cycles being longer and maybe without a period. Is it possible to be annovulatory and have short cycles?
@kentuckygirl: welcome! I don't know much about cycles, sorry - but there are lots of ladies on these boards who do - perhaps it would be worth asking the question somewhere with a wider audience?? Because it's likely that we second-timers are not the experts! Everyone keeps recommending Taking Charge of Your Fertility (I think I got that right) too - I haven't got it yet, but will consider ordering it soon...
Good luck with your TWW :)

Hi there former First Timers - anyone want to join me on the second time around? I'm heading into "O week", and will be testing/getting my period on about the 26th Feb.
Anything you'll do differently this time around?
I'm thinking I'll be a bit more relaxed about it all - I did lots of reading and research last month, so I don't think I have to be as fixated on every sign and symptom this time. I've also done enough reading of these boards to know that most symptoms don't mean anything - in fact, many women have said it was the month they were sure they WEREN'T pregnant that they got their BFP. And I'm also taking note of the fact that while some women say that they got pregnant the month they charted, lay with their legs in the air, had a strict sex schedule etc., just as many say that it was the month they DIDN'T chart, DIDN'T put their legs in the air, just had sex when they felt like it... Also, I'm back at work this month (summer school holidays last month), so hopefully being busy will make me less obsessive.
Even though I was sad that I didn't get a BFP last month, I'm pleased to see that my cycle is now regular and I'm starting to know my body quite well. And, this month or next month is actually better for me in the flow of the school year :) I'll try to look for the positives, haha
Here's to us!!
