@MistySoda:  That would not be ok with me. I would take it right back to the store and your FI is right — make them compare the two so you can show them that this one was shoddily made. If it were me I would make them RUSH order me a new one or simply get my money back. Stuff like this drives.me.crazy. And the salespeople usually never admit there is anything wrong and they look at US like WE are the crazy ones, argh!!!

Take it back. Cause a fuss. I’d never recommend doing that but they earned it, you’re in a tight spot, and you need it fixed ASAP. I’d pull out the big guns on this one.

@MistySoda:  In that case just ask for a refund. You cant keep one that isnt made properly!!!

I would take it back and look for a new wedding band.  A size 6 seems to be what they have in the stores.  I would go to each store and ask if they can get the ring to you in time.  Then pick out one you love.

sorry!! That’s terrible!! Question….. the wedding band you originally had that they sized for you, but messed it up….did you ever take it to another jeweler to see if they could fix it? If you really love the ring and can still get the original…that’s what I would see about doing. If that’s not an option then I would just ask for my money back and get a different ring some place else. This is just what I would do…good luck! I hope it works out for you either way!

I just read your last response. If the item is NOT what you ordered, then yes…they need to refund your money. If you paid with a credit card do a charge back…if you paid with cash….not sure how you would go about that. Either way…they need to make it right..period.

Go to the District Manager. Do not accept an inferior product.

Get a “consumer” reporter on your local tv station involved. They LOVE these kind of stories… brides who have been taken advantage of.

Give them hell until they give you a refund.  They’ve screwed up twice.
