I just saw an article that says, starting today, Pinterest users will be allowed to create up to three "secret" (private) boards. Finally!

I know this is a feature I'd been wanting. I have a board called "gift inspiration," but I don't want all of my gift ideas up there for all of my friends to see!
I haven't tried this yet -- I came running right over to WB to share the news. Has anyone else created a secret board yet?
ETA: According to the Pinterest blog, this feature isn't available to every user just yet. :( They say... "Starting today, we’ll be gradually rolling out a test that enables anyone to create three secret boards."
I just checked my account and I don't have the ability to create one yet. Does anyone else?
It's about time! Now I can create a Future Baby Board without looking baby crazy to my friends!!! :)

Yesssssssssssssss! I just started one for my future baby planning needs.
I just had the option to update the app on my iphone and it has them!
@the-boss-of-you: Yeah! Babies are a *really* long way off for us so I've never wanted to pin anything that would put ideas in anyone's heads, especially because some of my husband's extend family members follow me on Pinterest.

I think if you have the android app you just udate then you can do it. Mine worked. Bit to late, already moved all my pins to another app where I have more control.
I'm NEW to the whole Pinterest thing... having discovered it since I've been here on WBee.
So I have a couple of Questions... and seeing as I seem to have some knowledgeable Pinterest users at hand, thought I might ask them...
1- QUESTION ... is there way to set up a Pinterest Account by using a User Name and not one's own RL Name
Sort of like we have here on WBee... where I am solely known as This Time Round.
OR is the only option set so the world has to see your RL Name on your Pinterest Account ?
And
2- QUESTION ... once you are a member is your email account info visible to everyone (be it on your page, or a Profile Page).
Or again, is it something you can keep private
Any info / help from fellow Bees ... much appreciated.
@this-time-round: I'm not 100% sure so someone else can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think there's anything to stop you from putting an alias in the First Name and Last Name fields, right? And I don't think you're really required to provide much (if any) profile info at all. I do know that you can set it so your profile doesn't show up in Google searches for your name!
FINALLY! I am so excited for this change. I want to pin boudoir inspiration, but I certainly don't want employers stumbling upon that board!
@gemstone: I actually have a baby board because a while back, I had a client that made baby blankets. To this day I get asked about it and if I'll be "altering my dress" before April. Sigh.
@Miss Otter: Hahahaha that's terrible and hilarious all at the same time. I've been wanting to pin ideas for baby showers in case any of my close friends gets pregnant soon but I didn't want people to think the pins were for me!

I could give a rat's ass who thinks I'm crazy for having a future baby board. I'm a woman in my mid-thirties about to get married. Duh, I think about babies.
@RedAngelDreamer: Oh I don't think anyone would think you're crazy. For me, it's more that babies are really far off for us so we don't want to give anyone ideas that we're expecting one sooner rather than later! Totally makes sense for you though.
@MrsFairyBee: lmao I already have a board for babies/kids. I had a wedding board long before we were engaged. I don't really care lol. Actually, I have friends who have wedding and baby boards and aren't engaged/married/in a relationship. Whatever.
I do like this idea for gift inspiration, though.
I'm so excited about private boards! I have a kids/babies board but I don't like pinning to it. A couple family friends keep placing "bets" on when I'll get pregnant, so I'd like to hide any baby/kid stuff from them! I see such cute ideas though and now I can pin them :)
Finally! I need one to pin gift ideas and wedding ideas that I don't want others to know about. Future baby would be good as well!
Oh.My.Goodness! I'm popping over to Pinterest immediately to see if I can add secret boards -eeek! I need a couple for gift ideas and future wedding stuff that I don't want everyone to see. eeks!
