we booked our honeymoon for there this coming september! i’ve never been to the resort but my travel agent raved about it, and i havent seen a negative comment about it during any of my research, can’t wait!

i have been to that part of mexico a half dozen times and there is tons do to if you want to leave the resort. i highly recomment Xhela. there is also tulum, the mayan ruins, swimming with the dolphins and taking a bus into playa del carmen for some flea market type shopping. i know there is a lot more to offer than that but those are the ones i have experienced. and you’re right about the price! we looked at st. lucia and antigua at first and the price was almost double. we are going for 11 days and upgraded to the swim out room for $4700 TOTAL!

This resort is amazing!  I went her with my fiancee last February about this time.  Definitely a 5 star!  We stayed in one of the swim-out rooms and it was lovely.  The food and service is amazing too.  You never have to walk up to a bar to ask for a drink, they ALWAYS come to you.  Room service was a treat too.

Stay here!  you wont regret it ๐Ÿ™‚

we stayed in secrets capri in Riveria Maya. We went in October last year.

It was wonderful!!! All the Secrets resorts are pretty much all amazing!!

We did a few excursions, we went and did ziplining, repelling, snorkeling, and we swam in the cenote (underwater caves— the most awesome part).
We also did deep sea fishing! I would def recommend to go out in the main street one day and walk around too.

It really is paradise, and everyone serves hand and foot. There are so many things to do, and the restaurants are really amazing!

ENjoy you will have an AMAZING time!!

We’re going to Secrets Maroma Beach in June and I Can’t wait!!! I did soooo much research about this resort before deciding and I think we made a great decision. There is still a 93% recommendation rate for it on tripadvisor which is huge.

Also, I just watched 4 weddings last Friday and the “dream honeymoon” that the contestants won was to this resort ๐Ÿ™‚ I just thought that was pretty cool lol.

Hey!  I’m a little late on posting to this!  Im getting married on Sept. 17, 2011.  We were looking into going to Punta Cana for our honeymoon, I never had any intention on going to Mexico, then we came across Secrets Maroma!  We just booked yesterdeay!  I’m so excited.  We are going from Sept 20th-27th, we booked a preferred club swim out room!  Where did you go to book excursions online? Or do you book through resort when you arrive?
