I need some major help in trying to decide on necklace/earrings to go with my dress. I plan on wearing my hair up in one of those loose/romantic side chignons (or potentially pony tails if it’s cute).
My big issue is that I *think* I need a big necklace to help me take care of that “naked” feeling with my hair up and lots of shoulder exposed. So I’ve been leaning toward a large non-pearl statement necklace But I’m really not sure what might look best.
In a recent trip back to Alfred Angelo to find a crinoline slip, I tried my dress on with a big necklace, a necklace I already owned (OUT!) to give you a frame of reference.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (Definitely thinking that pearls, while lovely, are NOT a good match for my dress)
With hair totally up and big necklace:
Smaller necklace, side pony tail.

I really like the Y-style necklace with your dress! I definitely would suggest sticking to something pendant-like to streamline with the neckline of your dress, rather than cutting your neck off with something round like the first necklace.
I think this necklace (or something like it) would look really nice with your dress:

I agree. A pendant is the way to go with your dress. The big chunky necklace takes attention away from the silver detailing on the bodice of your dress. I say go with a delicate pendant necklace.

Hmm…something like my crystal necklace would go great for you I think. I’ll look around to see if I can find it anywhere.

I agree with the PP’s. A pendant would really compliment your gown best. It would be silly to distract from the gorgeous detailing on the bodice.

Hi just saw this! Dress twin! I dont think you should do a necklace at all, Some nice earings and braclets and maybe a hair peice will bring it all together, the open neckline is so elegent, thats why I pciked the dress 🙂
