What kind of venue are you looking for? There are lots of venues that allow you to bring your own caterer, but your options may be a bit limited if you are catering yourself, as the more well-known venues may have a requirement that you use a licensed and bonded caterer for insurance purposes. Community and fire department halls would not give you an issue. A small, local museum may work. Or perhaps a public park venue (like Quiet Waters park in Annapolis).

curtisandlashaun:  Glad to help. 🙂 The community centers run by the Columbia Association in Howard County, MD are also quite nice (The Other Barn and Amherst House are extra nice!) and generally quite affordable. If you are willing to travel farther from DC, The Tea Barn in Elkton and the Tea Room at Gambrills State Park in Western Maryland could also work. And a summer overnight camp  (in the off season, obviously) would also lend itself to self-catering.
