I think it looks good on your finger. Be happy you have one.

@Firemansgirl:  You have small fingers. My fingers are slightly bigger than yours and I’m always told how tiny my fingers are.

No it’s not a huge rock, but it looks good IMO. People are just jealous.

I think it’s a really good size, I would’ve guessed larger actually!  I wear almost the same size, 4.5.   Your ring is beautiful!  I also think stone sizes are relative.  When I wore a 1 ct, I remember thinking “I could go a bit bigger”.   Now I have a .38 and I feel like it’s kind of big some days, my friend was even saying how big it seemed.  My old 1 ct seems comically large in comparison.

Your ring is gorgeous and suits your hand very well. My finger is a 7 and my stone is a 0.39. I’ve had the “cute” comment before but I figure it’s like calling a pretty blouse cute. Maybe they really like it. Also, I love smaller stones! They look delicate and are far more functional in my day to day life than a bigger stone that may get caught or feel too flashy for me.

I think it looks perfect.

I got the cute comments about my ring all the time.  It used to bother me but it doesn’t anymore. You just have to learn to ignore those people.

It’s not huge, but do all diamonds have to be?

Looks nice on your hand.

I think it looks proportional.  And FWIW, I would guess larger than .5ct

I have a 1/2 ct center stone on a size 8 finger (ETA: just saw yours is only a five!!), and would I like it to be bigger? heck yea.  Am I happy with what I have? Absolutely!!  We may upgrade the center stone someday, but for now, I know its the absolute max he could possibly have afforded and I love him so much for putting that much into something for me.  I have luckily never had anyone say my ring is cute – to me, that’s reserved for tiiiiny center stones, like 1/10 of a carat or similar.  If they call it cute, just reply, “yes, I think it’s gorgeous”

I think it looks perfect on your hand! Now, on mine, not so much. I’m totally jealous of your tiny fingers 🙂

I think it looks fine but I totally get where you are coming from…I had a .55ct for years and the “cute” thing drove me crazyyyyyyy!!!! I was just upgraded to a 1.02ct for our 15th anniversary.

I’m from the Midwest and your ring would be average, to even slightly large here. I think it looks like a good size on your finger. I just hope you love it. If you do then nobody can make you dislike it, regardless of what they have to say about it.

I’m getting a 3ct center which is just outlandishly large for where I live, and instead of getting “Oh.. cute and dainty!” people will probably meet with “Wow, that’s huge. Is it real? *rude look in there eyes*” In the end, I love what I have and I don’t need their validation. People will probably be rude about some things no matter what you do..

It looks fine to me.  Lot of finger coverage especially the channel set diamonds,  makes it look well balanced.  It really compliments your hand nicely. Like PP with the 3ct diamond, they will be rude no matter what you ring looks like.  Thats just the way it is sadly.  Try not to let them upset you, your ring is for you to enjoy not to please others (which quite honestly is impossible.)
