Just wanted to bump this up since I wrote it in my delirium while debugging code at 2AM :) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (never before have used self-tanner).
I have olive skin but I love the Jergens tinted self tanner-it is really subtle to begin with but it builds up nicely after about a week...and it doesn't turn you orange! Always a plus :)
Thanks Miss Bravo. If I use it on tan lines...will it matter if I accidentally go past them? I don't want to make myself even blotchier than I am now:)
I've used this before and I don't think it should matter if you get it past the tan lines. It's pretty subtle, so I don't think it would be too noticable.
I'm also a victim of unwanted tan lines. I go from olive in winter to honey dark brown in the summer without trying(I am puerto rican in heritage and my father is very dark skinned! When I was little I thought he was African American!)
I don't mind it except my body looks like candy corn! My arms are dark, my face is dark and everything else in inbetween shades of warm brown! Since I really can't stand this, I will occasionally go to a tanning salon to make my tone more even. I can't stand the smell, feel, or rub-off-when-you-workout effects of self tanners!
Since you have about 10 days before the wedding, I would try getting a trial airbrush tan. They will take a look at your paler color and be able to mix something that will match the tanner color (instead of playing around with self-tanner for days). If you don't like it, it will be completely gone by day 5 or 6. Or you can go back and have it done again 2 days before the wedding and it will look completely natural. This is what I did for my wedding and it turned out great. I was in and out the door in 15 minutes.
btw, all of those female rock stars never have tan lines on stage because they air brush.
Sounds great but was the inside of your dress brown after you took it off? Does it smell bad?
Thanks ladies. I have been careful about sunscreen when I run over the last few months, so my tan lines weren't that bad. But with the Jergens they have already almost completely disappeared!!
Just wanted to say thank you all.
I'm so glad that you were able to get rid of your tan lines! Great news!
Sounds like that Jergens stuff really works! I will hav to try it since I was out in the sun this past weekend and have very uneven tan lines now. :(

Any recommendations for self-tanning products that are good to help even out tan lines on darker skin? I don't want to darken my whole skin, more like spot treatment.
