For subtle color I use Clarins auto bronzant gel. For more color I use Fake Bake. Both are best applied at night and showered off in the AM, especially the Fake Bake as the color guide is really dark. Also, USE GLOVES! Good luck and happy safe tanning :)
I agree iwth eryepye about the fake bake. Don't be alarmed when you put it on at night, because it will probably look like you rolled around in mud. Be prepared to stay in (or get laughed at by others). But after you shower....you will have a beautiful, natural looking tan. I'm naturally pale...and fake bake makes me look dark!
I've also gone to www.thetanningstore.com, where you can buy a big jug of the tanning solution used in professional salons. The downfall is that I don't have the equipment, but I apply it (wearing gloves) using thin cotton pieces of cloth...or just the gloves.
I hope this helps!
Where can one purchase fake bake? Does it have an odor or orange tint?

Any suggestions for a a good natural self tanner product? I had a Self magazine with Kristin Davis who mentioned one she loves, but i lost it :) I gave up tanning beds this past spring, and am very proud of myself! -but losing color right now from summer and it's starting to bother me!
Thanks girls.
