haha, I love my cheap little 4 cup Mr Coffee coffee maker.  It’s perfect for the two of us, it’s been 3 years, and the little 10 dollar sucker is still going, and it doesnt take much room on the counter.  What more can I ask for at $10.  I get whole beans and have a grinder so the flavor is nice and strong.

@Mrs. Spring:  Have you tried calling Keurig?  Customer experience is absolutely vital to them and they have some of the best customer service I’ve ever encountered.

If you calculate the per use cost on something you use every day, it’s not nearly as expensive as you think! Less than 20 cents per day.

We have a Cuisinart with a built in grinder and we love it.

I have a Hamilton Beach BrewStation Pro that I think cost less than $50.  You can make from 2-12 cups of coffee but it dispenses straight into your cup so there is no carafe.  We love it.  🙂

If you want basic coffee and something long lasting, I second the little 4 cup Mr. Coffee maker. My grandma has one and it’s been like ten years lol.

However, I would spring for a Keurig or bug their customer service, because I’m totally obsessed with the quick cup of coffee it creates with no mess or big effort. And then all the sweet pod flavors and things!

@Mrs. Spring:  I love it and have had it for over 6 years now.  Never had a problem with it.

Our keurig quit and it’s 2 years old. They’re customer service tried to troubleshoot the problem with me, but couldn’t fix it. They offered me $100 off a new one, but I don’t want to get one and just have to replace it in a couple years. So I’ll stick with my French press or kitchen aid coffee maker.

Keurig Queen right here!  Their customer service is phenomenal, it doesn’t hurt to give them a call and ask.  Worst they can do is say they can’t do anything for ya.

we regularly use our french press and chemex. so probably the opposite of a keurig!
