I sold some stuff on WB and I just send the person an invoice through paypal for payment.

If you go through WB, use paypal. I know as someone who looks through the classifieds, it just feels safer on my end to send money that way. Also, if you plan on shipping anything a good distance away and are going to use the postal service, I suggest putting insurance especially on fragile things. I bought some vases and some of them broke during shipping. Fortunately, I got some money back through usps for the damage.

If you sell anything online, Paypal is the easiest and safest means of payment. For you and your buyer. I highly recommend it.

I sold most of my stuff on WB using Paypal.  The really heavy/bulky items that would cost a lot in shipping I sold at my garage sale.  I think craigslist would also be a good idea for those.  Mostly because people were interested in buying them, but once I told them the shipping cost they weren’t so hot about the idea.

@oracle:

mm i don’t think so, I would check the paypal faq’s though.

usually ‘merchant’ accounts occur on sites like ebay & etsy (the fee to be a merchant is for the 3rd party site hosting your pictures & whatnot I believe).
