@savealife:  If you’re selling it for that cheap I would just list it as is. If you are tall, someone will probably get it hemmed and end up cutting off the stained part anyways. Just be very honest in your listing about the staining and include close up pictures so buyers can see the damage. I bought a dress with stains and I didn’t mind because I could tell from the pictures that they were not visible unless I lifted up the train and showed it to someone.

@savealife:  $200 is a great price. Just make sure your listing describes the stains and maybe even include pics.

@savealife:  I would definitely consider buying it at that price with the stains. The dress I bought was a little under half off. I would just make sure it is the cheapest listing of the other dresses (with the same style number and designer) if it is in the worst condition. I got mine for $500. I could have gotten an cleaner dress for an extra $100 or $200, but based on where the stains were, they didn’t bother me. I also felt like the seller was much more upfront with me about the damage to the dress than the other sellers so I was more willing to buy from her. If there was another dress that was in much better condition that was the same price then I would go with the better condition dress. But I just couldn’t justify spending more to not have stains that wouldn’t be visible when the dress was on anyways.

The seller I purchased from spent $150 to have the dress professionally cleaned and preserved. Thats almost as much as you want to sell the dress for. And some of the stains might not come out (like the ones on my dress) even with professional cleaning.
