I noticed there were a few inquiries about how to sell your wedding dress after the big day. I got married two months ago. After the wedding, I tried to sell my dress on craigslist with no luck. So I tried again on craigslist the following month. The second time I used the professional photos from David Bridals website where I had purchased the dress instead of the photos from my wedding. I lowered the price $25.00. And it sold. I think the photos made a big difference. Also, be sure to price it right and post it while it is still in style.
I did not clean my dress except by hand with a damp cloth and some light soap along the edges. My dress was polyster with lace. I sold my dress for more than I paid for it. Keep in mind, it was not a designer dress.
The woman who bought it could not even fit into it, but she loved it and bought it anyway. So craigslist does work, but use the photos from the website of the store you bought the dress from. Download those pictures as soon as you buy the dress in case they discontinue your gown.
I really loved knowing the dress would be use by another bride and hopefully bring her the same good fortune it brought me.
