I don't think I would recommend it as it just seems to casual for a formal "thank you". There are quite a few places where you could do a folded note card with a picture- Vistaprint, Shutterfly... and I'm sure there are many more.
I think if you had a ton of guests that this is a fantastic idea! You'll save A TON on postage! A cute idea would be to put your wedding picture on the opposite side of the postcard. Then they'll have a picture of you they can keep (and let's face it, no one keeps your thank you card...). As long as you write by hand on the other side, I think you can keep the formality of a thank you combined with the innovation of providing a picture for everyone to keepsake. Moo.com has postcards you can personalize. I used them for my STDs. They were great, and the software was easy to work with. Check it out!
I love that idea! I'm always happy to get a thank you note, and I don't care if it comes in an envelope or not. ;)
I think it would be a great idea if you arent having a super formal wedding. We are doing postcard STD's and thank you cards. Our wedding is in Vegas so postcards and travel kind of go together. But I love the idea of postcards, you could use a pic of you and your FI/DH holding the little thank you signs or just a wedding pic.
This is the photo that i would put on the front of the postcard. and of course i would hand write them... thanks for the suggestions, Spaniel, Mighty & Shannon. I didnt have an out of town wedding but i think thank yous for destination weddings is an awesome idea!!
upon seeing that picture I would 100% go for it!! Thats a great pic and I personally would love to get a thank you card like that!!
Cool! Now i am undecided on moo.com which is soooo cute or overnightprints.com which is suppper cheap... hmm

Has anyone thought of this? I am trying to get my thank you notes ordered today and I was thinking of going with a post card? Or does anyone know of thank you cards that print out with a picture? I was just wondering if anyone has done this and what your opinions are on this?
