I have loads to do still.  I have to do my tissue pom kissing balls still, my favors, put together the rest of my centerpieces.....  Oh yeah, invites!  I'm starting to stress also.

We will be meeting with our photographer next week, doing our cake tasting, meeting the florist, and visiting the restaurant where we're having our after-ceremony dinner.  We're having a semi-destination wedding, so we'll be in the town where we're marrying for a week-long visit next week & have to cram all of that stuff into that week.  Ack!

Oh, and can I add that all of this is for a wedding of only 30 people?!  I can't imagine planning a larger one!

Oh, and book our honeymoon!  We're doing that the week after we get back......   My head is spinning just thinking about it!  Undecided

I'm Sept 5 but still offering some advice.

Try to focus on one thing at a time. Make a priority list of when things need to be done by so you don't get overwhelmed.

First - find a caterer (the only reason this is a priority is just so you can ensure you have service for you wedding and they are not already booked).

Flowers can come second or even later - you can order from DIY places up to a week or so before you need them.

Really your seating chart will not need to be done until close to the wedding and you've got a headcount.

i agree with camrie - get your caterer pronto - thats the most important. the rest you can get after you get the caterer. but the guests gotta eat! :)

seating chart isnt done until you get RSVPs back so unles you have already gotten out your invites and gotten them back dont worrya bout that at all.

    and take a deeeep breath!

take a deeep breath=) you'll be fine..i agree with camrie, caterer first...and everything else can wait a little bit..

we're sending out our invitations hopefully this week or next week and i'm nervous cuz i'm handwriting them..gah..i know i'll probably regret it afterwards, but whatever...i have to get my passport renewed..need to start picking out songs, still have to ask a few people to be a part of the wedding (sponsors, readers, etc..) (i know, i'm so late on this)...

i'm getting nervous too, it's coming so close with time going by so quickly!! it's ok though, we'll be fine..=) just remember to take a deep breath, and relax....good luck girls!!!

I am Sept 18th also, and I just know there are all kinds of things I should be doing but am forgetting about...

We are having a champagne and cake reception, so I don't have to worry about the food - my cake is already taken care of, and the reception hall is providing fruit trays, drinks, etc. They are also taking care of the centerpieces/decorations, yay! One less thing to worry about for me.

All of the dresses are ordered, the tuxes are reserved, I booked a DJ, photog and videographer, the invitations are picked out - just have to order them next week sometime; we registered, the honeymoon is booked...

We are doing all silk flowers, because I am allergic to the real thing, and we already bought those...

What am I forgetting? What else should I be doing right now???

I agree, get your catering sorted out first and foremost. The seating chart you can't do until you have your headcount back. The flowers should be second on the list. If you're feeling overwhelmed, start delegating! That's why you have a bridal party and a mom!! Definitely tackle tasks one at a time like another poster suggested, looking at the big picture will be too overwhelming for you.

    @k8sk8 hmmm songs i guess & your vows .. =)

Ive been thinking about what songs im going to dance to & all that .. someone told me its also best to give the shutter bugs a run down of the big day so they can know where to be at what time.. even photos of loved ones so they know to get pics of "grandma & grandpa" and those Important special people they have never met before.. I plan on giving them a small page with just photos of close relatives they other wise would not know unless i was there to point them out.. you might want to consider giving your shutter bugs a heads up of some sort as well..

here is my 1st DIY cake topper project LOL ..

First and foremost, your cake topper is ADORABLE :)

Next up - date twins! :)

Last - don't panic. You'd be amazed how much you can accomplish with To-Do lists and some will :) I just finalized my menus, florals and decor last week on a 4-day trip to my venue! (It was the first time I saw it in summer!) With the extra momentum, I was able to do hotel blocks, finalize my dress details and pick up some decor things...today, I order my frames for my table numbers and calligrapher my envelopes! Bit by bit WORKS....it's nice to see things getting checked off. Now if only I could re-motivate myself to exercise :(

Love your lovebird groom!  Get your caterer pronto.  Keep going one thing at a  time so you don't get overwhelmed.  Make a list of the earliest must do's.  :)
