We are having a ceremony/reception on Saturday that we are paying for and then our parents are throwing us a BBQ on Sunday. If you are invited to the wedding then you are invited to the BBQ as well. My question is, do I send two separate invitations (one for wedding and one for BBQ with separate RSVPs) or do I put everything in one envelope? I don’t want to confuse the guests and I’m not sure about etiquette. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m no etiquette expert, but I’d say you have some leeway here. If there’s room with your invites you could either add an insert to your invites with the details or you could send a separate invite – but since you’re inviting everyone, I don’t think there’d be an issue with either.

I’ll second lilyfaith – I don’t think etiquette says anything one way or the other. You should be fine either way. I’d lean towards prefering separate invitations, personally, but I know that may be too much added cost. I also think and insert in the wedding invitation would be fine (particularly if it matched the rest of the wedding invite).

Disregard that, I totally misread it lol. you can sent it all in one. Just do it as a separate card. Sorry! lol
