So I'm heading up to PA next week to visit my family and the BMs and I were planning on driving to King of Prussia (the large mall) on Tuesday so I can get makeup for the wedding because I thought that was the closest Sephora store. However, I looked it up on a lark and saw that there is a Sephora in Park City (I'm between Harrisburg and Lancaster so the 15mn drive to the closer albeit smaller mall would be lovely versus 2 hours).

I've never been to either but was wondering if anyone thought it was worth it to go all the way to KoP or if Lancaster would be good enough?

I am not familiar with PA, but I would think that Lancaster would be fine! The only difference I've noticed in Sephora locations is some stores are larger than others. Have fun!

That's my concern- I haven't seen the Lancaster store but the mall itself is much smaller than King of Prussia so I would assume the store would be? I was hoping to talk to someone about recommendations for makeup choices/colors.

The smaller store may not have as many lines as the larger store, but the major ones should all be there.  I would go to the smaller store.  If you don't have a great experience, then take the time to go to the larger one.  However, all Sephoras are hell on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  I would recommend a weeknight for the best service.

The King of Prussia Sephora isn't enormous (although not teeny tiny either, just that I've definitely seen larger in major cities).  I'm not familiar withe the one in Park City but I'd imagine it should have what you need.  I don't think a smaller mall would necessarily have a smaller store since real estate space would be cheaper, unless it is a Sephora inside a JC Penney - those seem smaller.

Sephora is usually pretty good about stocking a good selection even in the small stores or the ones inside JCPenney.

I would go to KoP just because there are soooo many stores there, including the Sephora and many department stores. You're bound to find something perfect.

(I understand driving so far. The closest Sephora to me is 2.5 hours away, but I would go to that before I hit the local mall 45 minutes away, just for the better selection).

I can't remember ever going on a tuesday, so maybe it wouldn't be too bad at KOP.  If the selection seems less than par, theres MAC and like 3 department store that all have about the same lines as sephora, with the exception of maybe Make Up Forever, within the mall.  So you're sure to find some awesome makeup at KOP, if thats where you decide to go. You won't be wasting a trip thats for sure. Smile
