Weather people couldn't decide.
5-6 days before they said mostly sunny, high of around 74. On the Tuesday before they said overcast all day and a high of 63 (?!?!?!?!?!)
I got really nervous and upset because it had been so nice out up until then.
The morning of it was a little overcast, but I didn't really pay attention to what was going on outside. By the time we stepped outside of the house, ready to go, it was gorgeous--sunny, warm, no rain in sight!!!
For our pictures it was perfect--just a few clouds to keep it from being too bright, perfect temperature, NO precipitation!!! We got so lucky!! Thank you, weather Gods!!!
We got married in the NW suburbs of Chicago and it rained off and on during the morning... by 3ish when we were leaving for the venue to do pictures, things cleared up!! It was still a little cloudy but by our 5:30 ceremony the sun came through and it was absolutely beautiful. My photographer was so excited about the light. The temperature was still a little colder than I would've preferred - not many people stayed out on the patio for our cocktail hour and rather went inside - but overall that's not really a huge deal. Although the absolutely AMAZING warm Chicago weather the last week has me a little annoyed that it couldn't have been like that on our wedding :) Would've saved us some stress worrying over the possible rain and cold!
It rained on Friday night during our rehearsal dinner and it was nice Saturday, but then when the guys were coming in to meet at the hotel and start the pictures we had a monsoon out of no where on Saturday, then it cleared up.
However, I was COMPLETELY sick on our wedding day and the couple of days before and the days after. I mean, I never get sick, but I was SO SICK!!! I had NO VOICE, thank goodness for "Entertainers Spray" I was able to speak my vows. I had a stuffed up nose, a fever, the body aches, coughing and sneezing -- it was ridiculous! But it was still great and I loved it.
I hoped everyone else's was just as amazing!

I was a nervous wreck all week worrying about the weather for our outdoor ceremony on Saturday. Judging from posts I saw here on the Sept 2011 boards I know a lot of other bees were too. It seemed like it was calling for rain in a lot of parts of the country.
Regardless of the weather, we are all married women now, which is most important! How did the day go for you gals though? Did it stay dry? Did it rain?
We had rain on Friday night during our rehersal in our outdoor space. It was also unseasonably cold for this time of year in Chicago. We were only able to run through the whole thing one time because of the weather, but I don't think anyone was terrbly upset. It just meant we got to the pizza place quicker!
We were married in the south suburbs of Chicago and the day started out sunnyish, and then started to get cloudy as the day went on. Our photographer was thrilled with the overcast skies because he said it was the best light for outdoor photos. So there was our silver lining. It looked like the sky was going to open about an hour before our ceremony, but luckily the weather held out! The sun even peeked through just as the ceremony began. So, phew! I told our adorable, 7 months pregnant minister she brought us good weather vibes!
I hope all the other bees had a beautiful day this past weekend rain or shine. :)
