@missbeachbum: Well, I am a September 2nd bride, but I'm answering anyway! ;) We're having a private wedding on 9-2-11 and a big celebration on 9-3-11, so I will be stocking our "celebration bar" this weekend. I will also be finishing OOT bags, but we only have to make 3 of them (like I said, tiny wedding), so that won't be a big deal.
Next week I work all the way up until 8-31-11. I imagine 9-1-11 will be crazy getting the very last minute things done. We are doing our own bouquets, so that could be interesting! :)
PS. I stalk the weather too! Constantly! ;)
I"M DYING HERE!
I, too, am a teacher, but at a university, so we've been preparing for the past two weeks for school to start (this Monday). So, the week before the wedding, I'll be teaching! EEK! I'm not thrilled about that, but the timing ended up working out everywhere else.
I'll be finishing up the last few projects this weekend while the boy is on his bachelor party/weekend camping trip, as well as picking up my dress and FINALLY paying our cake baker. Since all my family is OOT, my mom and cousin (BM) will be coming into town on Tuesday to help with anything, the rest of the BMs and family come on Thursday, and then we GET MARRIED on Saturday! WHOO HOO!
I am so excited for everyhting!
Sept 4 over here, but also want to join! So many final week jobs, constantly cutting and gluing things. :) But other than that, trying my best to make lists and delegate, but I'm really bad at delegating. I'm pretty OCD, so it's more tiring for me. FI and I are going to try to get as much as we can this week as possible!
I just had meltdown number 5647 today :-) I am working Mon and Tues and then Wed-Fri I have off. Wed dropping off everything at the reception hall :-) Thursday picking up my dress. Lots of little things to finish like stuffing OOT bags, finishing hanging crystals from my centerpieces etc. Gave my FI the last couple days off so its back to the grind this weekend! OMG I still can't believe its only a week away.
Oh...and I'm checking the weather hourly. But its probably not good because in the last couple days it has gone from thunderstorms, to sunny, to scattered showers, and now its at cloudy. Phew!
Sept 4th, but... yeah.. I'm yelling at my mom- to get the final numbers because I have 2 uncles that never RSVPed and NOW decide they MAY come!!!! That and checking the weather (the wedding is on the East Coast) and finishing all crafting by Wed to fly out Friday. Then Venue drop offs, meet with the priest, nails and toes, rehersal and THE WEDDING!!!!
One week away... this weekend finished up the favors and pretty much just relaxed. This coming week is going to be insane! Working on Monday and Tuesday and then leave for where we are getting married on Wednesday - pretty much then it will be complete chaos! I am having wedding stress dreams like crazy - like what if no one shows up? Do people need to be reminded? AHHH!
We are setting up the whole hall and everything, so that will be all evening on Thursday and Friday all day - the rehearsal is Friday night - then Saturday AHHH! and Sunday after a brunch we leave for our honeymoon! So I am glad that this weekend was pretty low-key because the chaos begins soon!

HAPPY WEDDING WEEK LADIES!!!!!!! Dont stress ((i know easier said then done)) and remember that mistakes might happen but at then end you will be able to call your FI, DH!!! HEEEYYY NOW!!!! cant wait to see recaps!
i'm just finishing some details but my most exciting part is getting a nice tan on thursday and packing for our honeymoon!!!!1 Totally nervous and anxious!
well I got made redundant a few weeks back,so Im not working at the moment and it is HARD!!this week seems to be going so slow,everything is done as much as it can be done,so its just waiting now. I cant believe its finally here,it feels so surreal!

I can't believe that this time next week we are getting ready for our rehearsal dinner. I'm curious as to how you are all spending this week coming up?
I'm lucky that as a teacher I've had the summer off to get wedding things done, but I go back to work on Monday for meetings so I'm trying to get as much finished this weekend. I've begun delegating tasks that I had wanted to do myself but just won't have time. I have Friday off, so my sister (MOH) and I will be going for a mini spa day. People start arriving on Tuesday.. feel like it's going to be "wedding week" around here!
Besides obsessively checking every weather forecast known to man, I'm surprisingly relaxed...but getting excited as the days go on!!!
