Is Europe in the budget? If you've got the money and time to do so, I'd head over there.
England, Ireland, Italy, you name it, there's romantic places and things to do all over the place!
Mexico in September can be sketchy with hurricane season, so I'd beware of that.
We're doing the Carribean in hurricane season, just buy good trip insurance and you should be covered.
My hubby and I are headed to Napa Valley tomorrow! We are going to spend 10 days in Napa and San Francisco! We're really looking forward to it :)
If you want Mexico, I would consider Puerta Vallerta on the west coast to avoid hurricanes.. If you want the carribean, pick a location in the south lik Aruba to avoid hurricanes! And there's always places like Hawaii to consider as well.
My husband and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and it was AWESOME. Even though dark clouds and thunder rolled through almost every day, 98% of the time it was sunny, hot and gorgeous!! I dont know where you are located, but if you are on the east coast Jamaica and the Caribbean in general is a very short flight and easy to get to.
@Ka393: we are going to riviera maya 9/25 - 10/2; we were afraid of potential bad weather and made sure we got the full coverage insurance that would allow us to cancel up to the day of for any reason... i think it was $250 for insuring our vacation package... but well worth our peace of mind. i'll def let you know how it goes with the weather in a few weeks!
We're going to Honolulu for 6 days. We were initially thinking the Caribbean but was a little skeptic of the weather. We've never been to Hawaii so we are both looking forward to vacation after 18 months of wedding planning!

Any ideas where to go in Sept for a honeymoon? My FI wants to go to Mexico but I am not sure how the weather will be? Any ideas?
