We just braved a September honeymoon to Sandals Royal Bahamian. We totally loved it. We got travel insurance, because of the hurricane risk. They forcasted rain almost everyday and we ended up with about 10 minutes of sun showers all week.

We went to Mexico at the beginning of Sept and it was paradise. Mexico is very reasonable cost wise and we were in complete luxury!

But as Audrey said you need to get hurricane insurance just in case! But we couldn’t have asked for better weather!

we just got back from riviera maya 9/25 – 10/2. it rained on/off the first two days we were there, but overall it was beautiful weather and we had a great time. we stayed at the el dorado royale casitas… there are tons of great all-inclusive packages that are within your budget. we also did make sure to get travel insurance as a “just in case” since we were during hurricane season… but we had a great time… 🙂

Cabo is supposed to be decent in Sept. Hot, but it’s a shoulder season so it’s cheaper. It’s also not in the hurricane paths. I know you said you didn’t want the US, but we honeymooned in Estes Park, CO by renting a big house with an 8-person hot tub built into the side of the mountain (Rocky Mountain National Park was literally down the road) and it was AMAZING. Perfect, sunny weather, beautiful hiking, no crowds, lots of privacy, and it was way cheaper than a tropical vacation!
