Weddingbee boards

Greetings from the DR (Dreams Punta Cana to be precise).

We did it, we're married :)

My day started a little interesting. My wedding was during TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and the hotel workers union took this opportunity to picket various hotels across Toronto. The hotel we were getting ready at was chosen to be picketed at that day. I had to get shuttled by the hotel manager in his pick up to the edge of the hotel parking lot to get to my limo and my bridesmaid ended up having to four wheel in her CRV to get off hotel grounds (there was a line of 20 cars waiting to get out and they were only letting one car out and one car in every 5 minutes). But we all made it on time.

The ceremony was wonderful, I surprisingly kept it together, there were some tears welling but I didn't cry. Neither did my sappy big brother who walked me down the aisle ;) (though he did cry about 8 times during the speech hubby and I gave).

There was a light sprinkling of rain after the ceremony, lasted less than a minute. So we were able to get all of our photos done.

Reception went off smoothly, there was some kerfuffle with the beer but my FIL took care of that.

All in all, it was a most wonderful day :)
