I'm feeling excited and a bitoverwhelemd (due to not having a job at the moment).
Yesterday FMIL and I got a TON checked off the todo list. We ordered colored M&Ms and got adorable wedding candy bags for the reherseal dinner, we set our menu for the reherseal dinner, we ordered our unity candle holder, checked our hotel block, and we ordered the donation card frames. I believe all the BMs and GMs have their stuff!
Up next week:
*Meeting with the DJ
*Finalizing reception dinner menu
*Getting stuff to make programs
*Working on centerpieces
*My final dress fitting!
I feel like August is going to fly by and be soooo busy! I'm so excited and ready to marry my best friend :)
I can't believe it's coming so soon! I'm working on watching RSVPs come in (just got the last of the invites in yesterday's mail) and finalizing small details with vendors. We still need to decide on and buy beer and soda and determine if we will do a signature cocktail (looks like no, I don't want any more projects). However before the wedding, I have a lot of life stuff to take care of like finishing painting our bedroom (this weekend) and preparing for an intensive course I'm taking the last week in August in Norway, these are the things that are stressing me out on top of wedding tasks.
Anyone DONE with everything and just coasting until Sept. 18? I would love to hear that it isn't possible because I tried so hard to get everything done but some things still need to be dropped off/picked up or planned out the week of.
@slicey19: I don't think you can ever get it all done too far in advance. There are certain things that have to be done closer to the wedding. I started planning 14 months before our wedding and I thought I'd have everything "done". Turns out, with a wedding, there's never really a "done" or "coasting" point until it's over :-P
My sister just called to tell me that her and her FI got their marriage license today....they are doing a good job following the checklist I gave them
I have programs and table numbers, and menus left to do for their wedding, vases to hold the bouquets during the reception, and I need to find some black drapes b/c the venue has burgundy ones.
I am going over the music for the wedding ceremony and the reception with my sister and her FI this weekend to submit to the DJ.
....then I am having a stiff drink and rejoicing in the fact that I decided against a wedding for myself =)
46 more days ladies!!! I am finally going to my first fitting tomorrow :) I hope to have some pics!
My Bridal Shower is on Sunday- It is actually feeling real.
I finished tying the favors last night! Yay! No more little bows!
Next week we are meeting with the DJ, I need to Mercury Glass my last center pieces.
I have everything for the programs, I just need a final count of people. I am thinking about getting programs done and then printing more if I need to.
All that and work and gym and people coming into town! Busy busy busy.
gahhhhhh .... don't remind me! i have my first fitting next week which is exciting, but i also have a lot more DIY to finish .... and for most of that I'm waiting on very tardy RSVP cards from half our guest list so I know final counts. Send them back people, you're making me nervous!
39 days left. oh crap.
I have 1 RSVP in so far, but its a small wedding (80 ppl), and I listed Aug 31st as the date to return them by, so that's all good. I have yet to figure out the final centerpiece (I'm in about 3 different directions right now, but they all coordinate, so maybe I'll save myself the headache and use all three!). I don't have a corset yet (dress doesnt have one built in :( ). My wedding band isnt scheduled to arrive until Sept 5th - this is killing me!! The groom has yet to decide on one, so he'll be buying whatever the store has, because there is no time left to order.
Oh yeah, and I dont have SHOES??? How can I not have shoes yet? I love shoes. I'm the worst bride ever.
Did I mention that I am slowly going crazy?????? Yeah...
@heysillybabe: Hey date twin! Our RSVP date is 8/25 and we have about 30% of our responses at this point. Don't sweat it too much. There was a dry spell for about two weeks where we got hardly any, but now they are trickling in (and our wedding is approx. the same size so I get you!).
What kind of shoes are you looking for? I LOVE shoe shopping!
