Me! I'm due Sept 25th. However, if she's a week late or more, she'll be an Oct baby. There can't be just two of us though...who else is out there?

    About even with girls/boys!

I have a question, where you ladies live, is the school cut off Sept. 1st? Here in GA it is and I know it's bad, but I sorta hope Baby Bear comes August 31 so he/she can make the cut off and not wait an entire year to start school.

@MsMamaBear:  I don't really know about here in Seattle nor is it a huge issue for me.  I was old for my class and saw many of the young kids struggle through learning and sports.  I would much rather him be old for his class than super young.

I was thinking that too...I'm not sure if it varies by state, county, or individual district. I started school down in Louisiana at age 4 (for just a few weeks- my bday is late August and schools start there around mid August). I was the youngest person in my grade for a long time, until a girl who skipped a grade came to our school. My husband though is the opposite. He was born early Sept but missed the cutoff and was one of the older kids. The only time I remember it really sucking being the youngest was sophomore year when all the kids started getting their driver's licenses and I didn't get mine until the day before junior year started. If mine is mature enough at 4 and they'll let her in, I'll probably do it. But I have no qualms about holding her for another year if she's not ready.

@MsMamaBear:  In Louisiana, it's September 30th for the cut off to start school.  Our daughter will be in the same grade as her cousin who's 11 months older because she was born in October.

Y'all brought up some good points. I was only thinking about how he/she'll be the oldest in her class...never thought about how he/she could be the yongest and last to do things vs. the peers! I know since I'll be teaching baby at home, he/she won't be delayed by any means, I think it just gets to me because my sister was born 6 days past the cut off.LMAO Kinda like this baby will be.

Oh,well. That's what happens when baby is born in the most popular birth month.LOL Did y'all know that? Must be the long, cold, boring winter cooped up in the house!

Forget to add that we are having a boy ;)

Regarding school cut off dates, it varies by state.  We live in CA where the cut off has always been Dec. 2; however, this is changing over the next few years.  By the time this LO is 5 the cut off will be Sept. 1.  As a teacher, I am really excited about the change.  I taught kindergarten for 6 years and I have to say that in general kids should be 5 when they enter K.  My bday is in Nov. and I started when I was 4...things were tough for me in elementary school.   I am glad I wont have to make the decision to start my son @ 4 or wait a year...now we just get to wait a year!  I also think there are a lot of benefits to being one of the oldest in the class instead of the youngest.  Usually if a parent thinks a child is really ready to start K early, they can apple to the school and the school can decide if they want to let them in.

I am!  September 20th.  We are team green.

I think school cut offs around here are September 30th...so we'll be pushing it if we are late.  We shall see.

It's starting to get close!  Is everyone getting excited??  I know I am!

@MzMarzipan: I'm a teacher too! Are you really excited to teach your own little boy before he even starts school, or am I just the only geek? LOL

@L2sweetpea: Yah, another Team Greener! I'm getting excited. I had my shower this weekend and all the stuff has be going- he/she is coming soon!! The carseat especially did it! :)

Woohoo team green!  Put me on that list as well.  Not sure what I'm having, but am super excited to meet him or her!

Where I'm from Dec. 31st is the cutoff; we're boring up here in Ontario and use the regular year calendar for school cutoffs.

@MzMarzipan: The funny thing about Sept. 5th this year is that it happens to be a holiday known as Labour day (it's always the first Monday of Sept.).  How ironic!

    Yay for due date twin!

@NewbyMom2Be: Yah another Team Green! Y'all aren't boring, just smart. Never understood the reason for a cut off anyway.LOL

How are y'all feeling? omorrow is Aug. and we have one month!

I'm pretty damn miserable right now. My hips, knees and ankles hurt. I have pelvic pain all night and can't turn over, so I just get up early because there's no reason to "sleep". I've also had a few Braxton Hicks and they HURT, oh man!

I hope you ladies are feeling a lot better than me!

I'm also on the miserable side. Had my first "call the doctor and then be forced to come in late at night" episode on Friday when it turns out I had a raging UTI that developed after I had my prenatal appt at 3pm (I called at 9pm in ridiculous pain). It took so long to convince them just to take another urine sample (sorry TMI!) cause they had trouble believing it could happen so quickly, yet had no alternative explanation for what I was feeling. Little man was happily kicking me the whole time which was SO reassuring, I wasn't worried about him at all :)

Hope you ladies don't have to deal with that mess!

@MsMamaBear so lucky you're early September! I still have to count like 2 months, which feels so much longer for some reason!

Hey ladies!  Just checking in to see how everyone is doing???  All of my Sept. 1st due date friends (1 colleague and 3 school friends) have had their babies already...making me anxious to meet this lil' peanut.  Since I am due Sept. 5th I was hoping that (s)he'd be here soon too.

I'm feeling pretty good still.  Definitely some hip pain every now and then, and some restless nights, but overall I can't really complain.

Hope everyone is enjoying their final stages of this incredible journeySmile

    @NewbyMom2Be

Wow, you know 4 people that were over a week early? Was it their first kid? I'm not due until the 25th, but I wouldn't mind going a week early.

Does anyone have a particular day of the week they'd like to have the baby? Husband doesn't get much time off so I'm just really, really hoping to go into labor on either a Thursday or Friday. My due date falls on a Sunday, so I'm hoping to either be a few days early or a few days late (my doctor will not let me go more than a week overdue).

    @Tatum:

I don't want to deliver early!  I know it's early now and I still have some growing to do (I'm 35+ weeks), but my last day of work is next Friday, and the earlier this little button arrives, the less Ma Ma time I have to enjoy and relax before she gets here!

@Tatum:  I'm due on the 16th, but I'm hoping she'll come on the 6th cause that was my grandma's birthday.  I just really hope I don't go past my due date!!!  I'm so impatient!

One more thing:  I will welcome her whenever she decides to arrive, but for a variety of reasons, I hope it's not on September 11th.

I am due Sept 8th, but I hope baby comes on a Friday,Sat, Sun. or a weeknight from 4pm til the next morning.LOL My SO doesn't get much time off since he JUST started a new job (YAHH!!) so I want to make sure he is there.

I went to the doctor today and I'm 60% effaced and 2cm dialted. Not sure if it means anything, but we'll see. Gonna get on a lot of sex this weekend to see if that starts anything.LOL

I'm due september 25th and I was really hoping I would get to meet this little girl a little early.... but I went to the dr today and baby hasn't even dropped yet! Is that normal? I think she might be stubborn. The dr. also checked me and felt nothing.. so she did a retro ultrasound to make sure baby was head down.

Hey ladies! Just wanted to pop in with an update too! :)

I'm due September 1st which makes me 39 weeks today. I went to my appointment yesterday and I am 3cm dialated and 50% effaced. Baby is at a -2 station (I was 2cm last week). I've gotten that far without any contractions. I'm kind of excited about that and am hoping that points to a shorter/easier labor. I had my membranes stripped yesterday. It was not fun, to say the least. I had some bleeding throughout the day, which is normal, but it scared the crap out of me! Anyway, We're hoping to have a baby by this weekend! Wish us luck (:

So excited to see everyones progress!  Hope everyone is feeling well.  I'm due the 20th, and getting super anxious to meet the little one, and to find out what gender we'll be having!  I'm definitely hoping for a little early, but will be happy whenever (s)he decides they're done baking!  I was 50% effaced and dialated 1 cm at the doctors on Tuesday.  I just started with the swelling but up until that I have been perfectly comfortable!  Can't believe it's almost September already, and the little one is almost here!

@MsMamaBear: Thank you! We're still pregnant. This child is as stubborn as it gets. I have never been so exhausted in my life. We made a trip to the hospital last night because we thought my water was leaking. It ended up being a false alarm.

I hope to hear that someone has had their September baby soon! Maybe that will encourage my little one! :)

It's September!  Hoping to hear of lots of healthy and happy delivieries for everyone!!!

Went to the doctor yesterday, and slightly disappointed...still only 1cm.  I was hoping for progress because I would love to meet this little one.  But as everyone says...(s)he will come when they are done baking!
