What about black, gold, and either a plum or a teal color? I think those would be pretty. Or instead of the gold using like a butter cream color? Good luck!

Lots of ideas and visuals here. You can put in requests too.
Black is such a neutral, so I wouldn't worry about working it into the color scheme - especially if the room is dimly lit. They will just blend in and I'm sure they will look great.
If I were you, I would actually decorate with golden delicious apples. It would be cheap, pretty, and personal. You could even make pie with them after the wedding! I would get a large vase, fill them with the apples, and use them as cenerpieces. Like Soon2bSuttle said, I think gold, cream, or butter would look great. I would also throw in a little orange like you mentioned. I also really like the idea of a sapphire accent. Since orange is blue’s complement it will really pop out and look fun and festive. It makes me think of a fall day with the leaves turning in front of a blue sky. I think it would have the fall “feel” without being the expected red-orange-yellow-brown fall theme.
I like that color palette website! So pretty combos. I saved it.
I want to incorporate the apples definately.
The trick is to get the right shades so its not too bright I think.

Hi all,
So I'm trying to get colors down. Here are reception space details.
My hall walls are a pale pale green, dark carpet with thing gold details. (Both are not as noticeable with dimmed lights you forget them almost instantly.) The chairs a simple black metal frame. (Not touching those they look nice) The bar is a dark wood color. There are windows to let some natural light in. There are also mirrors and columns. A very nice looking room. Yet...doesn't scream "Fun and Festive."
Now there is a special addition to consider. The wine is called "Golden Delicious" which is made from apples. Tim and I were drinking it when he proposed to me. Western and Central NY is wine country and we both love supporting our wineries so that will be at the bar or on the tables. So there is a golden aspect.
I want to bring trees inside (with the turning leaves in yellows and oranges) Gotta figure out how to get potted trees inside and on rental.
We are including black metal framed lanterns as part of the centerpiece.
Now the tricky part is that I have a golden varient and black. I was thinking to pop the "fun" factor with a saphire or cobalt. Some details with rustic orange and blues. I want it to say "greeting fall" but not scream "halloween" or "typical fall colors."
Any input? I think it would look nice but its hard to picture everything without seeing alot of those color combinations. If anyone can find images and post that would be great.
