I'll go first:

1. When is your wedding date?

September 8, 2012 in Madison, WI.

2. How old are you and your partner?

I’m 26 and FI is 27 (We’ll be 27 and 29 when we get married)

3. What do you and your partner do for a living?

I’m a civil engineer (transportation designer) and FI manages a plasmapheresis donation center.

4. What’s your engagement date and story?

May 28, 2011. We “decided to be engaged” together. We custom made/designed my ring together using my grandma’s engagement set. He “officially asked” with the finished ring at a bus stop. It was the student union of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. The first time I visited him after he moved, the bus dropped me off there. He said that was where he knew we would eventually get married.

5. What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style?

It’s going to be a laid-back secular wedding. The ceremony is in a renovated historical building in a city park, and the reception is at a wild-life center. Lots of DIY decoration and personal touches. Hopefully we’ll have lawn games and lots of comfort food. The colors are peacock inspired – blues, greens, and purples.

6. How many guests are you planning for?

50-100… still working on the guest list.

When is your wedding date? September 8, 2012, in Freehold NJ
How old are you and your partner? We'll be 31 and 33 at the time of the wedding
What do you and your partner do for a living? I do postdoctoral research in chromatin biology, he does environmental analysis for a consulting agency
What’s your engagement date and story? November 20th, 2010 - not much of a story. We'd commissioned a local jeweler to set my grandmother's stone in a setting we desgined - November 20 was the day the ring was ready to pick up. We went to the store, the jeweler insisted I try it on. I put it on my finger, we all smiled, and then I said "Welp, not taking this off ever again." And that was that. We knew we wanted to get married for months already.
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? Our theme is "wedding", and the colors are all shades of blue. It'll be secular, but incorporating a few Jewish traditions (glass breaking, etc.). The ceremony and reception are at a restaurant/event space.
How many guests are you planning for? ~150. Just sent out the STDs!
Is there anything else you want to tell us? Nope. :)

What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a paralegal (and student); FI is a computer engineer.
What’s your engagement date and story? July 25, 2011. He pre-arranged with one of our favorite local restaurants and had the room to ourselves, the table set with flowers when we arrived. We ordered a bottle of wine and instead of wine the waiter came to the table with champagne. Chris got down on both knees and proposed! We both cried :-)
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? Nautical/Nantucket Wedding theme; we live near the ocean and our venue is right on the water. Our colors are Nantucket Red and Navy Blue.
How many guests are you planning for? 75

1. When is your wedding date? September 1, 2012

2. How old are you and your partner? 32 and 31

3. What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a financial analyst; he's a project engineer

4. What's your engagement date and store? July 17, 2011. We had a picnic at the park where we run on a semi-regular basis. After finishing lunch, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Then, we ate dessert :)

5. What is your wedding's theme/colors/style? Our wedding is at a nature preserve with a very old farm house. The style is going to be vintage/rustic. No set colors b/c there is no bridal party. Planning on having lots of DIY projects and incorporating his Mexican heritage into the decor.

6. How many guests are you planning for? Probably 100-125

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us? I can't wait for it to be closer to the date so I can seriously start buying stuff and DIY-ing my heart out... I also can't wait for my scheduled cake tasting (early Dec.).

How old are you and your partner? I'm 27. my lovie is 25
What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a lawyer, and he is a journalist, currently back in school getting his Masters after two years as the sports editor for a local paper.
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged on June 20th, during my "birthday week" (yes, I celebrate for a week hehe). He made a video as part of the proposal. He wrote a script and then covertly went around to a bunch of my friends, his friends, and even got my out of town sis and friend in on the action. I had no idea he was doing any of it, and it came as a complete shock. I'm going to write and post the whole story once we get our blog up :)
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? It is going to be an outdoor sunset wedding, with a tented ceremony. Our colors are cobalt blue and yellow, and we are going for a relaxed, vintagey feel :)
How many guests are you planning for? Around 100
Is there anything else you want to tell us? We just got our first apartment together a couple of weeks ago!

1. Sept 8th 2012

2. I'm a pediatric RN and my fiance is a Project Manager for a technologies firm

3. We got engaged on FI's birthday...we went to our favorite restauarant (in a hotel) and he surprised me with a hotel suite overlooking a park and champagne on ice...he then proceeded to tell me we had brunch planned the next day and he had gotten me spa treatments...a bit later he proposed!

4. We are having garden theme as we will be getting married on the rooftop garden. So far our stationary will match the theme as well as our placecard table and centerpieces...our colors are white/ivory - deep purple and gold.

5. We are planning/budgeting for 150 but are inviting about 180ish

I'll be 25 and he will be 26 when we get married.
I'm a business analyst and he is geologist/project manager
He proposed in July at his parents lake house while we were fishing at sunset, but i knew everything was coming he isn't very good about keeping secrets.
My colors are a coral pink and orange. We are getting married at a historical site, so we are playing that up a little as a style.

We're getting married September 22, 2012.

2. How old are you and your partner?

I'm 23 and he's 34 - we'll be 24 and 35 for the wedding. I know, I know, older man yadda yadda. :P

3.What do you and your partner do for a living?

I'm a journalist and he's a graphic designer.

4. What’s your engagement date and story?

We got engaged August 22 partway through the most ridiculous 'vacation' ever. We travelled over 10,000 km in 11 driving days, both on one Honda Goldwing motorcycle that is older than me. We got rained off the highway in Valemount B.C. and he took the opportunity to propose to me during our first sit-down meal in days which was probably a good idea because we stopped fighting after that. :P

5. What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style?

We're having an outdoor wedding and tented backyard reception. It's going to be very DIY! Our colours are a mish-mash but the main one is yellow, with metallics, neutrals, and whatever my mom comes up with for the flowers. 'Organized folky' is what it's being called so far.

6. How many guests are you planning for?

Fifty (49 and possibly one more) plus us.

Hey all! I love this idea!

When is your wedding date? 9.8.12
How old are you and your partner? Right now we're both 26, and we'll both be 27 when we marry.
What do you and your partner do for a living? We're both mental health therapists
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged Sept. 17, 2011 after dating for 6.5 years! He did a "surprise" proposal (I knew it was coming some day, just not that day) while we were hiking at our local arboretum. It was super beautiful and special, just us and our puppy!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? The theme is "Mountains to Sea" after our favorite places/where my FI's from and we live, and a local trail that goes from the Mts to the OBX. The colors are yellow and green with hints of wood and tin.
How many guests are you planning for? Ugh, the guest list keeps ballooning. At first count it was 226 invited, not including a lot of our friends. My parents keep saying most they invite won't come but you know you can't always trust that!
Is there anything else you want to tell us? Not that I can think of right now!

1. When is your wedding date? September 15, near Rapid City

2. How old are you and your partner? 25 & 30, but 26 & 31 at the wedding

3. What do you and your partner do for a living? Both students, but I will have my MA before we get married, so I'll hopefully be working a nice job when we get married.

4. What’s your engagement date and story? I knew the proposal was coming, but I got a bit shy about it. It took him quite some convincing to get me out of the house... he proposed on a late afternoon walk in the woods.

5. What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? No theme. The colors, as far as we can/want to coordinate them, are robin's egg & grey. Classic wedding in a slightly rustic setting.

6. How many guests are you planning for? About 100 will attend, but the official invite list including all courtesy invites is 138.

What’s your engagement date and story? February 6, 2011 Super bowl Sunday at halftime. Perfect :)
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? Theme is Romantic and fun. Colors are Black and white, shades of pink, and hints of silver. Style is very simple but elegant with a little bit of bling :)

How old are you and your partner? FI and I are both 25, but will both be 26 on our wedding
What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a registered nurse working at a hospital, and FI was an assistant winemaker and is just now leaving that career to start the long trek toward med school.
What’s your engagement date and story? September 6, 2011. We hiked out to a cape that overlooked the ocean, and he proposed after a small picnic. Super romantic!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? Theme is outdoor garden wedding, I suppose, and our colors are pink and apple green. Style is kind of a shabby chic/garden look :-)
How many guests are you planning for? Around 100.

How old are you and your partner? I'm 25 and he's 27. I'll be 26 when we get married.
What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm in communications for a non-profit and he's in logistics and shipping.
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged on March 4, 2011, two days before our one-year "anniversary." We had really been together longer than a year, but never actually knew what our official anniversary date was, so we just made one up. He was going to propose on March 6 (a Sunday and our anniversary) but he got the ring on Thursday and couldn't wait, so he proposed the next day!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? I'll go with another poster and say our theme is "wedding!" Our colors are burnt orange and light blue, and we're going for a laidback family reunion feel with small personal touches :)
How many guests are you planning for? We're inviting about 200 and expecting that about 160 will actually come.
Is there anything else you want to tell us? I'm just excited to get married and to read about all you other September 2012 brides!

How old are you and your partner? I'm 25 and he just turned 35 (well be 26 and 35 at wedding)
What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a bartender and looking to go back to school for nursing. FI is a restaurant owner.
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged on April Fools Day! I had a bad day at work and came home crying. He convinced me to go for a walk down by the local marina with him and the dogs. He got down on one knee and proposed. Apparently he was planning on doing it two weeks earlier when we were visiting my grandparents in Florida but the ring wasn't ready yet. It was perfect the way it went down.
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? We have a vineyard theme and we haven't settled down on a color story yet. We definitely want it to be classic and elegant.
How many guests are you planning for? 175-200
Is there anything else you want to tell us? Happy to meet my fellow Sept 2012 brides! 10 more months!! I also think this website is soo helpful. I honestly don't know what I would do without it.

What do you and your partner do for a living? FI is an architect student, I'm an overpayment specialist for an SSDI representative company
What’s your engagement date and story? April 10, 2010. I had just gotten off work and called FI to see if he wanted to go out to dinner. We went to our favorite Thai place and he asked if we could go watch the sunset (we used to do that all time time). We found a spot in the middle of a field and just as the sun was setting, he got down and popped the question!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? The theme is "wedding." The colors are eggplant, gold, and ivory with fall colored flowers and touches of fall-ness.
How many guests are you planning for? 250 (and growing)

What do you and your partner do for a living? I am a training administrator for an engineer program. FI is an HR Manager for an IT company.
What’s your engagement date and story?After 7 years together, he proposed to me in front of all our friends at a dual birthday party for the both of us (my bday is 9/21 his is 10/4.
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? wedding colors white and black (damask pattern) with red as an accent color.
How many guests are you planning for? As of today, we have over 200 people on our guest list and that is TOO MANY!! Hoping to get that down to 150 and hope for he industry standard of 60% RSVP "yes" rate :)
Is there anything else you want to tell us? At the moment I am over hte wedding planning. I was excited in the begining and went DIY crazy. Now, not so motivated. I am also having issues with some of my vendors (photographer and officiate to be exact). UGH!! Really trying not to become a bridezilla!! I am also a little put off by how uninvolved my bridal party is being. My FI has concidred talking to them to get their sh#$ together because this is an important day and it means ALOT to me. How sweet of him huh? But told him to hold off, didn't want to have to replace people becuase they got pissed.....

What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a non-profit fundraiser, and he works in IT
What’s your engagement date and story? We were engaged on Oct. 26th. He had had the ring for a while since it is my great-grandmas, so I had been teasing him about when he was going to do it. He surprised me at dinner, when I was supposed to be meeting some girlfriends. After dinner, we went back to his house- where he had Marry Me written in rose petals on his bed. He had a bottle of champagne in the fridge and another bouquet of flowers for me. I loved it:)
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? So far, colors are sunflower yellow and a dark purple, but we won't be sticking to just that. We are getting married in the middle of the country- so somewhat rustic, but I don't want it super country or hillbilly!
How many guests are you planning for? ~150

How old are you and your partner? We will be 25& 27 by wedding time
What do you and your partner do for a living? Dynamic Duo!! I'm a Real Estate Agent & Fi's a Mortgage Loan Officer. So I show the houses and he closes the deal. I always joke and say that just means "I get paid twice!" lol
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged August 6th. I'm a novice baker and had a cake order due on Saturday afternoon and FI was acting really weird and started an argument with me about having to take me to deliver the cake. Like a BAD one. Made me cry and everything. So I just stopped talking to him. I was determined to ignore him until he apoligized. That evening we were supposed to meet up with his cousins (10ppl or so all around our age. [who I love]) to go bowling. When we got there, we still never officially made up, but I wasn't going out of my way to ignore him. In like the 7th frame, when it was my turn to bowl, I bowled 2 gutter balls and when I turned around to go to my seat FI was on one knee. I actually thought he was playing a trick on me asking him "Why would you do that?" because he had a ring pop. Little did I know the real ring was in his pocket. :o)
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? "Simplistic Elegance" is the theme. Our colors are Plum & Champagne with black accents.
How many guests are you planning for? Ugghh the guest list.. we started at 115 and not are up to about 150. I'm hoping it stays there.
Is there anything else you want to tell us? We have not put money down for ANYTHING yet and I'm getting REALLY nervous we're gonna lose our date. IT's just a little tight right now because we are in the process of closing on our first house. :o)

What do you and your partner do for a living? I run and office for a communications company. he work on the electronics and avionics for black hawk helicopters
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged the day after Valentines day. He came home from work and I was still awake which is rare, and he sent our new puppy in the room with the ring box tied around her collar. He had picked the ring up a few days prior and had a big production planned for St. Patrick's day, but he spent the weekend telling people and ended up not being able to wait, ESP since he's terrible with surprises and too many people knew. full disclosure, it took about 12 hours for me to hear something I had dinner with a girlfriend on Friday at the restaurant owned by one of the people he showed the ring to the night before after he picked up, and she nearly blew it. That night I (innocently) found the diamond certificate between the seats of his car while we were on our way out of town.
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? Our colors are merlot, fuchsia, chartreuse, and moss green. We have a whimsical rustic enchanted garden theme going. We are getting married at a castle on the lake we spend our summers on.
How many guests are you planning for? 200-250
Is there anything else you want to tell us? I am so in love with weddign planning, I wasn't the girl who dreamt about her wedding or even thought I'd get married. I am just so overwhelmed with the love and excitement surrounding this time in our lives! I hope you girls all are having as awesome of an experience!

How old are you and your partner? I am 26 and my FI is 27, by the time of our wedding we'll both be a year older

What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a Licensed Vocational Nurse (going for my RN) and FI is a Journeyman Plumber and Telecommunications Engineer

What’s your engagement date and story? FI completely surprised me with a proposal this past June. We'd talked about it often since we'd been together for 3 years and had lived together the entire time, but it was a total surprise to me. He didn't plan anything romantic, just pulled out the ring on my birthday before we went out to dinner. It was very "him", therefore it was still special. The ring was beautiful and exactly what I wanted.

What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? We don't have a theme, but the style I'm going for is Romantic & Classic. Our venue is a beautiful, blank slate wth lots of trees and ceiling high glass windows. Our colors are shades of ivory and green, with touches of navy blue.

How many guests are you planning for? We started with just family, 80 people. Now we're up to 105 and still growing

What do you and your partner do for a living? he's a doctor in the Army, I'm a journalist specializing in science and medicine.
What’s your engagement date and story? March 27, 2011 on a hike in the woods. Nothing over the top, but totally us. We've been together around 6 years and I hadn't been anxious to be engaged/married or talked about a time frame, so I was totally surprised and ecstatic!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? In a cabin in Maryland. Birch, dark gray and gold.
How many guests are you planning for? around 90.
Is there anything else you want to tell us? Planning a wedding in Maryland from Hawaii, where FI is stationed right now, and don't have friends aroud here to help planning, so Weddingbee has been awesome so far!

What’s your engagement date and story? August 16, 2011 - FI took me to the spot on the embarcadero where we had sat and talked about "making it official" over 3 years earlier and got down on 1 knee where it all began. It was very sweet and unexpected!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? No theme, but colors are navy, steel grey, and pops of fuschia
How many guests are you planning for? 70-75
Is there anything else you want to tell us? As a project manager planning is basically my life, shamelessly I'm totally in love with wedding planning!

How old are you and your partner?I'm 26 and he's 27. We'll be 27 and 28 when the wedding comes around.
What do you and your partner do for a living? FI works at a local grocery chains warehouse unloading deisels and other stuff I don't understand. I'm usually a stay at home mom, but I took a parttime fash food cashier job to help pay for the wedding and to get out of the house for a while.
What’s your engagement date and story? We kind of just knew we were going to get married someday. There was no romantic proposal and we picked out the rings together.
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? We're oddballs, so our theme is a modern, kinda gothy, kitschy skull theme. Our colors are black, white, red, and gold.
How many guests are you planning for? Maximum 135.
Is there anything else you want to tell us? I'm REALLY indecisive and we have already booked and cancelled 2 other venues and I just ordered my 4th, YES 4TH, wedding dress.

How old are you and your partner? Both 24. We're a little young, but we've been together for 7.5 years.
What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm a journalist and he designs finance software
What’s your engagement date and story? We got engaged on January 15, 2011. We were on vacation in England and he proposed in the garden of a castle just outside of London. The next day we left for what he called an "engagemoon" in Paris.
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? We haven't completely narrowed the look down, but we're thinking of dark purple and dove gray, with accents of leafy green for our colors. My dress is lacy so we're also leaning towards a vintage, old hollywood feel.
How many guests are you planning for? Hopefully just 80-100. We'd like to keep it as small as possible, though.
Is there anything else you want to tell us? I'm a little intimidated by all of the planning so I'm glad to have other people here on the same timeline as me! We've booked our venue, hired a wedding planner, and I've bought my dress, but other than that we haven't done too much yet.

1. When is your wedding date? 9/22/12
2. How old are you and your partner? I'm 25, he's 36.
3. What do you and your partner do for a living? I'm in grad school, he's a web developer.
4. What’s your engagement date and story? On our second anniversary (2/18/12), we went out for dinner to the restaraurant where we had our first date, then he made us dinner, said some sweet things and brought out a ring!
5. What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? The style is sort of fun, classy casual. There probably won't be a theme, and colors are not set.
6. How many guests are you planning for? Between 70 and 95.
7. Is there anything else you want to tell us? I don't know, my experience of wedding planning is pretty crazy. I'm not a girly-girl, have never dreamed about what I want my wedding to be like, and I haven't adjusted very well to people treating me as "the bride" or expecting me to have a lot of really distinct opinions about how I want it to go.

I'm 31 and he's a very fit, sexy 50

4. What’s your engagement date and story?

We had been apart for 6 weeks (work-related), and then drove back across Canada to our summer home. We had never spoken about mariage before in our 3-year, living-together relationship, only of being together forever... somehow the M-word was taboo for both of us.

Finally home, we were together on our couch; a very special couch we bought together in the first weeks of moving in together; and we started talking about the future.

And he brought up the M-word for the first time ever.

And then he proposed.

5. What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style?

We are having a wedding-themed wedding. Colours are ivory lace & navy pinstripe.

6. How many guests are you planning for?

80 - 90 (guest list is at 86)

What do you and your partner do for a living? I am a teacher, and my fiance is an administrator for the school district I work for.
What’s your engagement date and story? My engagement date was February 4, 2011. My fiance proposed to me in front of all my students!
What is your wedding’s theme/colors/style? My wedding colors are chocolate brown, ivory and gold and the theme is vintage sophistication.
