I've mainly got the little details to work out now. We've got all the major stuff booked (thankfully!). We still need to decide on a cake design (we've got a baker!). We also need to register.
Hi!
I'm new to the Weddingbee! I'm getting married Sept 4th 2010 too! I remember thinking about our wedding a few months ago thinking it was too early to be planning... now it's 6 months and now i'm freaking out!
Our STD's just came... I have to label it all and send them out.
I have NO idea about invitations it's soo hard to pick! and we're trying to decide between making our own OR just buying it all done.. any suggestions on invitations?
AND Flowers... My colors are black, white and a blue hydrangea! Obviously we want hydrangeas.. but i want to stay in budget. Thoughts?

I'm a Sept. 4th bride as well. On our wedding website there is a counter that ticks down the days. I see it every morning and it makes me want to panic!
I still need to finish my invites and BM dresses. Then I have to start on decorations, but those will be fun.
@NWBlondieMolly First welcome! and I love your wedding date haha...So invitaions I found my inspiration invitation and im going to just do it myself because the invitations i want are $20 a piece which i would pay for but my FI would not ha! but if you dont want to D.I.Y search for invitation websites and most of them let you order a sample for free...I ordered so many from lots of different places...
As for flowers hydrangeas are expensive but i think worth it im doing some stems of those and also white football mums because they have the fullness im looking for also and are very pretty!
September 18 here! We still have to get the groomsmen fitted for tuxes (but they are picked and reserved), have BM order their dresses and get shoes, order flowers, pick music, make invites and programs. I thinks thats about it!!!!
As for flowers, if you don't mind DIY, look at fiftyflowers.com, they are AMAZING and have super good prices!!!!
I am a September 4 bride also! Do you ladies think that our wedding being over labor day weekend will help or hurt people coming?
I have all the big things done. All my BM's have their dresses. I ordered my invitations today so I am feeling pretty good.
We still need to book the rest of our Honeymoon.
We need get the groomsmen sized and their tuxes ordered (FI's Job)
Other than that is is just little things... I am almost ready for this lull to finish so I can get things done.
@Heathermae: Date twin!! For me its not such a problem we have already sent our STD plus my wedding will be one big party for 5 days! (its a destination wedding) so who wouldnt want to party on labor day weekend : )
@Ms. Caniche- Ahh im jealous im barely getting all my invitation stuff tomorrow : )
Im also a having a destination wedding!! Of course its going to be fun over Labor day weekend in Florida..
I have already:
Got my dress, my BMs dresses, booked reception location (we are having a reception in my hometown when we return home), got DIY invitation kit, Florist, tablerunners, shoes,DJ,
September 5th bride here!
So far I've got my dress, headpiece, veil as well as my locations - church, reception site, rehearsal site. Got a videographer, photographer, an officiant, a ceremony pianist and singer, and a DJ for the reception. Got the groom's cake ordered as well as all the reception catering in general. Got the out-of-town guest room blocks reserved.
Don't have: attendant gifts, a florist, any idea of what to do with my hair, CENTERPIECES (the thought of the DIY centerpieces is making me terrified/crazy), the flower girl/ring bearer outfits, and probably a whole lot of other things that i can't remember because my list is tucked safely into my wedding planner binder at home at the moment!

It doesnt seem like a lot but I know it is ahhh!!
