    Hi bees!

for all of you brides in September...What are your colors??? I am thinking of maybe using a deep red (merlot) and silver, or black white and magenta, or eggplant and gold...as you can see i am allllll over the color wheel!

    Any suggestions?

I am not getting married until 9/10/11, but i think that once i figure out which colors i will be using, i can continue to decide on other things!

    thanks! happy new yearrrr!

Our wedding is 9-18-10 and our colors are a deep plum/purple, grey, black, and white. when we were looking at colors, my sister showed me an inspiration board that was like a deep burgendy color, and champagne with either black or brown. It was gorgeous. Look at inspiration boards in those colors.

Our colors are going to be navy blue, deep green (like a peacock feather color) and yellow!!!!! I think the thing about September is that it's right between summer and fall so you can go either way with colors!!! Merlot and silver would be really cute! I LOVE the idea of eggplant/plum and gold too!  So rich and warm!!!

Our colors are going to be predominately black and white with some dark aqua/turquoise accents thrown in.  Wedding's in early Sept so we're going with a more summery feel with the aqua rather than the rich colors for fall.  I love that Sept can work either way!!

I'm basically counting my date as summer (9/4/10) and going with cobalt blue, sunshine yellow and bright orange.  Very summery and bright, but I do feel like a bit of a poser because sept usually makes me think of fall.  I just couldnt give up this idea for colors even after picking a later date than I expected.

@toothfairyb - I love your board! I'm using a lot of the same elements in my inspiration.

Sept. 18, 2010 here and our colors are navy, sky blue and silver and tan as a neutral. We went with preppy beach as our underlying theme as the reception is on the ocean so we are hoping for sunshine and trying not to think about fall.

September 4th in Vermont means the gardens are still full of produce and flowers for harvest. Our colors are pumpkin orange and dark violet/eggplant and we are planning on having flowers and fresh vegetables of all colors (especially pinks, greens, yellows, oranges and purples). It is so exciting to be married at a time of abundent harvest!

First of all - 9.10.11 is an awesome date! You can have so much fun with that!

We're Sept 5 (Labor Day Wknd) - since it's still practically August I went pretty neutral, we're doing a mix of a pink-champagne color, ivory, navy and gold- it's kinda hard to explain but just think pretty & candle-light glow. There's a "Real Wedding" on here that's got the same feel to it that I'm looking for - only I'm thinking less pink for myself:

I had a really hard time deciding but there's a lot of inspiration out there. One of the sites I found most helpful is Wedding Cabaret. She's got tons of Muse boards that're gorgeous! Here's the link:

    Good Luck!

I am in between color schemes right now.

    Fuschia/Mint Green or Navy/Chocholate.

I am totally unsure, so if anyone has any tips let me know! I would really appreciate it!

Our colors are dark/navy blue and silver.

Since the birthstone for Semptember is sapphire (my favorite gemstone) I wanted to do like a sapphire blue but it was too hard to find a bridesmaid dress in the style I wanted in that color and decor was getting hard to find too.  I think navy and silver is going to look very classic & chic!  (But I say this of course because it's my wedding Wink)

Has anyone thought about flowers for Semptember?  I'm trying to choose flowers in season so that they will be cheaper, but blue flowers are hard to come by!  Anyone have any suggestions?

I've chosen a deep blue (almost navy but the name is majolica blue), olive green, slate grey/silver, and ivory.  It sounds like a hodgepodge, but the colors together are really nice.  My dress is ivory, the bridemaid's dresses are close to navy blue, and the guys suits will be grey.  The flowers will mostly be in shades of green and white.  Green orchids (can't remember the name) will take center stage in the bouquets and centerpieces.  I received my sample DIY invitation suite in Parisian Blue from Cards and Pockets today!  Gorgeous!

For flowers we're having some tea roses (my grandmother's fav who passed away last summer), ranunculus, some winter cabbages (in the centrepieces), freesia (my favs), white orchids, dusty millers for some foliage.... I'm drawing a blank on the rest. I wanted anemones but apparently they bruise REALLY easily. Of course, no peonies :(

We are doing Black and White with "Brick" red accents. We like the modern feel to it but the red will bring in some of the warm colors of the fall. We are a late september wedding (sept 24, 2011) so its far enough out of the summer for us to go with the darker accents. We figure this will save us some $$ because black in white you can find in anything. Its when you get the obscure colors that you have to spend more on certain items to do custom colors. Also my bridesmaids are doing cocktail/tea length dresses in black with either a white or red sash so they can definatly wear them again. I think it will look really nice with the black tuxes.

The biggest reason for these colors is we like them, they are easier to plan with, and hopefully will be more cost effective.

We're doing black and white as well, for Sept 10, 2011. I just look the classic, simple look. And like superstarkid said, they're easy to match and plan around.. My girls will also be wearing black dresses that they can hopefully wear again.. I'm undecided if I want another accent color though, especially for the flowers, but I'm thinking maybe some shade of green.

i'm an early september bride and my colors are white, black, and carolina blue.  i just couldn't give up the blue, which is my favorite color ever, even though it's not very "fall".  hey, it's my day and the only time i get to pick colors, so i'm going for it.

@ Miss PumpkinPenguin- we're date twins!! I didn't pick fall colors either. My argument is that it's still practically August, I mean it's only a couple days right? Here's a board I created with our colors:
