Hi Month Twins!
Now that most of us are 6 months away or less to the bid day, have you nailed down a pre-wedding beauty regimen? I am still working on mine, and would love some tips/ ideas! I have acne prone skin (face/body) so I am focusing on clear, glowing skin. I would also like to grow my hair longer and get picture-perfect hands and nails!
My regimen, so far:
Morning: dermologica cleanser, witch hazel as a toner, dermologica “active moist” moisterizer (looking to get one with SPF, though), retinol cream (for skin brightness). I use neutrogena clear body body spray as well. I drink warm lemon water each morning.
Night: Dermologica cleanser, witch hazel toner, dermologica “clear start” moisterizer and dermologica eye creamTwice/ week: mario badescu “skin whitening” facial mask (for acne scars). I use another “detox” face mask once a week.Every 3 months: I got a facial two weeks ago and am planning another one for June and another for 2 weeks before my wedding.
I am planning on starting with bi-weekly manis and monthly pedis in april! I also take zinc, biotin, and a multi-vitamin. I exercise about 5 days/ week and eat as best as I can.
So far my best tip is to be consistent. I have 100000 beauty products and am always tempted to pick and choose products whenever I feel like it. I found that what is working for me is scaling down the products and sticking with the plan- and ALWAYS washing makeup off before bed!

Oh my goodness, I’m so jealous at how organized you are about it all!
I’m struggling just to remember to take my make-up off every night, that’s my big “To Do” right now. And you reminded me about toner, I have to start that immediately, my pores are dying for it. I do use a separate day and night moisturizer and eye cream at night.
My last thing I’m really focusing on it’s whitening my teeth too. Simple baking soda right now, and about 3 months out I’m going to start whitening strips.

OP you’re so organised! And have sort of shamed me to have a rethink lol I am planning on monthly manicures though to try and tame my cuticles 🙂

Sort of a mess right now, first: I wanted to lose about 10-12 lbs, however, so far have gained weight! Can’t seem to motivate myself right now, have had a lot of work stress and just feeling tired, not helping my eating habits. In terms of beauty stuff, I have a pretty set regimen, I use the Bliss products, Clog dissolving milk, triple oxygen moisturizer, and face mask. But I’ll be honest I’m not as consistent as I should be, I’m good with the mornings, but in the evenings sometimes I just use a makeup removing face wipe. Planning for some form of teeth whitening.
To those who have experience, can you tell me aobut facials? I’m curious to try one but nervous because my skin can be pretty sensitive.

Water water water. I am not much for daily make up so I don’t have to worry about taking it off. Wash, toner and moisturizer. Def whiten teeth a few months before, need to start up my multi vitamin again and may add mani/pedi a few months before as I usually do it lazily on my own. 6 MONTHS holy moly!!

Bridebee13: ughh I am tryng to find the perfect face wash lately, I just started using Clinique rinse off foaming cleanser and love it except I just switched my birth control and I am breaking out! But I usually just ash in the am and pm with that and use a frangrance/dye free moisturizer because my skin is so sensitive and this weather is KILLING my skin! Arg so over this weather!

Bridebee13: Wowza. Super organized!
As far as skin goes, I try to keep it simple:
Morning – wash with water (no soap). I use a homemade apple cider vinegar toner (1/3 ACV to 2/3 water) – has done wonders for my skin – and moisturize with Cetaphil cream. Once a week or so I exfoliate with a mixture of baking soda and a little coconut oil. The coconut oil moisturizes without clogging my pores, and the baking soda is very gentle.
Evening – I use Cetaphil Gentle cleanse most nights right when I get home or am done for the evening. Follow up with my homemade toner, and the same heavy moisturizer – and another round of moisturizer before bed if needed. This long, dry winter is killing me.
I also occasionally do an “oil wash” if I find my skin is starting to break out – kind of my version of an at-home facial. Clears my skin and leaves it super soft. There are a lot of different recipes you can find online for your skin type, but I use a combination of castor oil and grapeseed oil. Run hot water (as hot as you can) while rubbing the oil onto your face. Take a washcloth, put it in the hot water, wring it out – and then place on your face for a minute, or until it cools. Rinse the cloth, and repeat a few times until your skin isn’t oily. I know it sounds very weird to put oil on your skin (and I have an oily T-zone) but it really helps moisturize and cleanse. Sometimes I don’t even have to moisturize after.
For the rest of the bod – lots of water, multi-vitamin, and I’m going to start on my gradual tanner. I’ve been trying to take baths to destress, and I exfoliate once a week with my own mixture – and then moisturize with coconut oil after. Need to start doing monthly manis though, my nails are in rough shape! I eat decently and exercise, but refuse to stress over the number on the scale.

medgirlny: Don’t worry, I gained a little too (and also wanted to lose) and I’m blaming old man winter for this. We are lucky as September brides, we have all of summer to get out and get active! I can’t believe it’s only 6 ms away, it’s going to fly by! Eek!!

I use Exuviance cleaner morning and night with my clarisonic. I will also use dermologica daily microfoliant a few times a week.
I take a multi vitamin, biotin, zinc and a vitamin b. I NEVER go to bed with my make up on… i think its just gross.
I am currently in laser hair removal treatments
Will whiten teeth. I should start with baking soda soon!!
I have also lost a total of 45 lbs. This is within the last 2 years but more in the recent to get ready for the wedding. I would like to lose 15-20 more by Sept.
I would also like to get a few microdermabrasion sessions in too.

I haven’t really changed my routine at all, but I have crazy sensitive skin and new products are kind of like playing Russian roulette.
In the morning, I wash my face with warm water and a washcloth. Then I use Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer (sensitive formula). I generally only wear eye makeup, and occasionally wear Too Faced pressed powder.
At night, I use Burt’s Bees cleansing cloths to remove makeup and clean my face. Then I shower, and use moisturizer on my face and cocoa butter lotion on my body.
I also go tanning once or twice a week (shame on me, I know), and the lotion I use has bronzer and is silicone based so it makes my skin feel silky and amazing.
As far as exercise goes, I’ve been working on a 30-day challenge that includes squats, leg raises, and pushups. I’ve been doing it for two weeks and already see and feel results. Drinking more water has also been a priority, so I bought a fancy water bottle that makes it easy to have water with me ask the time.

i oi wash with water in the AM and apply moisturizer (aveeno) and then at night take my makeup off (religiously) and use an eye cream (Arbonne, amazing!!) and aveeno again.
Microdermabrasion on once a month using a groupon helps brighten my skin up too. And I agree with WATER, as much as possible
we are going to have a bunch of beautiful brides come September 🙂
