@girlwitharing - I also live in nyc but am getting married in philadelphia. Where are you getting married?
@redherring-no judgement here! That's one of our back-up dates for the officiant! lol.
The 4th!!!! I thought it was 9 months away........but then I realized.......DUH 8 months...........HOLY CRAP.....lots to do!
@His Barista - I'm just feeling excessively "over it" lately. We sent out our STDs with our holiday cards, and have heard back from a bunch of people going "The 11th? Really?" Between Labor Day and Jewish holidays, it was the only Saturday in September that worked. And based on weather concerns, September was, by far, the best month for us to choose.

besides it's our 3rd anniversary so i don't think there is a better date for us :)
Our date is 9.10.10! Not too sure how things are going to go considering we chose a friday night, but we are very excited and most of the planning is underway!
About 7 months to go!!
Dress? Check
Photographer? Check
Florist? Check
BM dresses? Check
Venue? Check
Up next is to book the rentals (tables, chairs, etc.)..if I could ever get our guest list finished!
we can't finish our guest list either! It just seems to keep growing!!!!
I'm almost sure Sept 25th! lol I'm dealing with our venue ect...so this might change UGH, I'm so ready to have everything sep up!
@Rosie-I'm sorry! Ours isn't growing yet, but I think it might once we send out invites. lol. I'm not too worried. FI's parents want a lot of people there (they are paying for the reception dinner).
The guestlist is prob the hardest part of planning so far. Our STD's went out already, you'd think it wouldn't be an issue anymore right?!? Parents are still adding/ swapping out people etc. We found out that there's another wedding the day before ours & a lot of the guests (mostly our parents friends) criss-cross with the other wedding. Hopefully some of them come off our list & go to the other wedding. LOL
Yeah that's why I think BOTH parents should pay for the wedding lol they both have guest coming right? lol I told my fiancee he was "coveniently" going by the tradition that the bride's parents pay for the wedding....I wonder if anyone else is having issues with this. His parents have been great to me ALWAYS but since we got engaged they haven't offer to pay for anything, I told my fiancee my parents ARE NOT paying for everything. I guess I could have a smaller wedding but why have my side with a 20,000.00 bill and nothing from the other side. I personally don't care for rehersal dinner I already mentioned this, I rather have that money for other things (pictures?) but seems like he is not listening to me. UGH! well sorry for the vent, I just had to get it out =(
Sat Sept 4, 2010. Sounds like Labor Day is going to be a rockin party this year. Only 7 mos girls!!!!!!
September 11, and luckily I haven't heard too many comments about it. People seem more happy than confused by it.
9-9-10!! We are getting married in Las Vegas and the Thursday just worked out the best. It's going to be small-ish, just family and then we are having a reception back in our home town on 9-25-10.
We toyed around with a 9-11-10 date and got some odd comments, I dont get it. It WAS a sad day... why not make your own happy memories!? If people avoided getting married on any day that something tragic happened, no one would ever get married...

9.25.10 - my favorite # (25) and my parents & brother's wedding anniversary month & my favorite season- fall! Can't wait!
Sept 11 BABY! Its all Good here! Just bought my dress yesterday! LOTS TO DO!!
