Hello fellow brides! I’m new to this site havingonly just recently gotten engaged. However, after several years of being together, we are looking at doing our wedding just 4-5 months from now in Marblehead, MA, where we live. Has anyone used or heard about Serenitee Catering, part of Alchemy Gloucester? If so, what has been your experience with them? We are looking to host our own wedding reception in a sophisticated backyard party and are looking for a high quality caterer (with a liquir license) in the North Shore. Any recommendations are welcome!

I have eaten dinner at Alchemy in Gloucester – but do not have any experience with their catering. We were interested in having them cater our rehearsal dinner (a casual dinner party sort of thing at my Grandmother’s house in Annisquam, Gloucester) but are actually going with a different restaurant called the “Willow Rest” in Annisquam/Gloucester…I have never eaten there personally but it comes highly, highly recommended by a lot of Gloucester area folks for catering smaller events…if your reception will have 50 guests or less I’d consider the Willow Rest for sure!
If you are having more than 50 guests you could always go with Vinwood Catering…they are one of the highest-rated caterers (check them out on weddingwire) on the North Shore and they have a LOT of different options for different guest amounts and price ranges…they do everything from the super fancy to BBQ and Clambakes…we are using them for our wedding in Salem, MA in October. They have a liquor license as well and their bartending services are reasonably-priced (they will be bartending for us as well).
Good Luck! I love Marblehead…my mother is actually the reverend of the Unitarian church there 🙂
