I feel you. Most of my friends from back home post religious things 24/7.

Yeah, I understand where you’re coming from as those posts then spark debates among his other friends and it’s just so much drama. But on the other hand, the logic just says to block his posts as we all have freedom of speech 🙂

But, I’m actually in a situation where my friend at work posts bible verses and theological ideas every day. She comes in in the morning and asks if I saw her posts and then she tries to have conversations with me about it. She’s one of my supervisors so I feel like blocking her posts or telling her that I’m not interested in her chats anymore would be really uncomfortable and potentially be bad for my career if I ever want to move up in the company. At least it’s only your uncle, haha!

@SweetRose2011: Yes! Even when you lay out all of the facts and evidence that contradict the statement they believe that only He can judge and know the truth and basically give you a big “stfu” haha

I had a friend who posted bible stuff every day.  I eventually had to hide her because it felt so weird for me.  I’m not religious (I grew up Jewish but consider myself a dedicated agnostic) and I actually really love discussing faith and religion and spirituality.  But the whole idea that Christian mythology is a given part of religion strikes me as really weird (having not grown up with any of it) and don’t think that facebook comments to people you don’t know that well are a good venue for serious discussion.

I’m pretty lucky, no one I know gets hard core about religion or politics, even with an election that was just called here this week.   But, that would drive me nuts!

It’s very odd to me when people post the “Jesus is my Lord and Savior” messages 24/7 and yet all their pics are like, the drunk shots or the “sexy” half naked bathroom cell phone pics.

I respect religion, but I find I can almost never get anywhere in a discussion with a really religious person.

Ugh, that’s so annoying. I just unfriend people like that.

If they are a close friend; I block their posts from my feed. If they aren’t a close friend I unfriend them.

@SweetRose2011: OK so if they’re wounding you that much–how are they your friend? And why would your enemy kiss you? Wouldn’t they then not be your enemy, since they aren’t the one wounding you?
