@RedHeadKel:  I have felt your pain!

I’d totally go with a solitaire, you can play it up with wedding bands, stacks, etc.

This is why I think choosing the ring is the guy’s job! I could never make the decision myself!

You did say: I’ll send you out shopping for me and I’m going to wear whatever you pick for me! Couldn’t you just send your FI out to pick the ring, and trust him with his decision? Would you not feel extra attachment to something he chose himself for you? I’m assuming he knows what you’ve been looking at and what you’ve been liking.

Why not pick up a pretty vintage ring for cheap and swap it out later when you find “the one”? Here’s my vintage ring.

@RedHeadKel:  It’s a stack done so so sooo right! If I had to choose another set, it’d be that! Probably with moissanite, no way in hell could I afford a 2.5ct diamond haha.

I agree with the solitaire recommendation.  It’s easy to switch it up, you can go with a cool band, easily reset your ring, etc.  Plus it’s a classic design.

I have nothing to say about rings.

I just wanted to say thank you for knowing “cannot” is one word.
