@Ladybird_:  If I were looking at a registry and saw that it was specifically marked as something the couple wanted a lot, I’d really wanna buy it! I’m someone who really loves buying gifts for people and I put a lot of effort into getting them something they’ll really love, so having things marked as faves would just make it that much easier. I don’t think it’s tacky or anything. I mean, the option to mark things is there for a reason.

@CarolinaCola:  +1. you may get the T word from a few Bees, but i personally love when a couple has marked things they want particularly badly – those will definitely be the first things i choose!

FWIW, i registered at C&B and took advantage of the ‘most loved’ option.

I think that’s a nice feature.  If there were two items I am thinking about buying them it would be nice to know which one they want more.

As with anything registry related, people can still get you whatever you want whether it’s a most loved item, one you just like, or not on the registry at all.  If someone thinks that’s tacky I’m guessing they’re not huge fans of registries all together.

I like it! I always try to get something the couple has specifically marked that they prefer. On a related note, one of FI’s uncles very generously gifted us a few of our wusthof knives off our registry – we had six total, and three of the six were marked as favorites on our C&B – and he bought the three that weren’t favorites! Obviously we appreciate the gift all the same, but I’d much rather have my chef’s knife than a bread knife, ha!

I like it.  I bought something from an Amazon registry recently and the bride made comments like “We would love to have this item to host a family gathering next year” and things like that.  I thought it was a nice personal touch.  I guess it could be off-putting if the couple sets all of the super expensive high-ticket items to “love to have” and nothing else.

@Ladybird_:  I’m so glad you asked this! I was literally thinking the same thing randomly the other day! We are registered at C&B and finally pulled the trigger on using it yesterday.

I wasn’t sure for awhile because I thought…we want them all otherwise we wouldn’t have registered for them so why the 5 you most want? But then I thought why not?

In case you’re wondering, I added hearts on my dinnerware sets, flatware sets, water pitcher, cutting board, and sheet set 🙂

@Ladybird_:  I proudly used all 5 hearts on our C&B registry!
